I challenged my kids to craft with me! They said it wouldn't work to hydro dip a tumbler with nail polish. I think it will make something beautiful to cover with epoxy. They don't believe me!

Mica Powders and Alcohol Inks Epoxy Tumbler
This was by far the best video on fixing dimples. I would have like to see your sanding.
Great save! Looks beautiful, from ugly duckling to a beautiful swan.
Please turn the music off! Can’t hear you!
I have a cup that is hand painted with a layer of epoxy and it dimpled. Can I sand , put the thin layer and then do a 3rd final layer?
can you put a link up for the wood grain ink please
Where did you get your turner from?
I tried using alcohol inks on a tumbler to make one of those fancy ones I’ve seen. The alcohol inks either just sat there in big drops, like bebe’s, or ran outside the white epoxy strip I sprayed on the cup to create a river. It - Was - Horrid!!! Was it my epoxy? Was it the temp in my workshop? Have you ever seen this???
But what if you don’t want any appliqués or glitter on your cup? I have a wood grain ‘cup’, not tumbler, that only needs epoxy now. But my first layer dimpled! This is a gift. I noticed you used alcohol last before the epoxy layer. Won’t that cause dimples? Alcohol is made from oil. I always used dawn dish soap as my last step before epoxy. Is this my reason for all these dimples??!
That turned out nice!
I would love to see a tutorial on how you did this one. Please and thank you
Your shelf liner hack is a great hint. Thx
Would love to see a tutorial on that pretty pink and black one you did
Wow 🤩 thanks for sharing
Would you mind giving the steps and what you put on your tumbler it was kind of hard to see what you were doing. Thanks for sharing 😊😊💜💜
Thank you. I have a few cups that have dimples and didn't know what to do with them
Love your tutorial! Awsome save!
I haven't been able to get a good end result with mica powders. I'd rather do glitter and alcohol ink. I'm currently enjoying g the smoky effect.
Before you sand papered the cup, how many times did you epoxy the cup ….. once or twice?
Husbands store is my favourite too!! 😂🙌🏻
Thank you very much for this video. I kept getting a lot of dimples and it's frustrating. Any further advice??
I love the tip with using the jar openers inside to hold the cup!
You said you use steel wool? I haven't heard of that yet. Do you use it after you sand or before?
That turned out amazing!!!
Beautiful transformation!! 😄 The decals are perfect! ✨✨ I got a glittered epoxy stemless wine cup as a gift, but the bottom is uneven with extra blob of epoxy, so the cup rocks and isn’t stable. I don’t want to offend the person who gave the gift to me by pointing it out, but I also don’t want to have the cup fall over and spill my wine. Do you have any advice on how to fix a defect like this? Thank you so much. I absolutely love your energy and enthusiasm. And with everything that you describe that you have on your plate, wow! You truly are a superwoman /super mom!💥💥😄
Just getting started with epoxy resin crafts. I’ve seen cups but never watched how it’s done until now. Very neat. Now I wonder how safe it is to drink off of. 🤔
Most resins are food grade safe once cured.
If i don't want to add glitter can I just use the epoxy or would it show the sanded area?
Epoxy over sanded area makes it Like new again!
Great save, it turned out fabulous! I have a red one that I've been contemplating what to do with for over a year because it is dimply. I also use makers flo! The amazement when I opened my first order & saw the packaging...oh my! I was hooked!
Hey Heidi I've been waiting for you to post the items that your using in your description and have yet to see any. I would really like to know where you get the $6 tumblers that come in a fancy box with the straw and instructions on how to care for your tumblers. AnyHoo thanks for your videos and keep up the great work.
Oh my gosh... I missed your question! Hopefully by now you have discovered makerflo.com for great prices on blank tumblers.
Great video - much success here on RUclips.
I love this cup where did you find that decal? 😍 love this!!
Thanks! I searched for a 'paisley' image, cleaned it up in Inkscape...then cut it on iridescent vinyl.
Simple & straight to the point! Thanks for sharing
Really nice
Where are your comments about your fave You Tube videos?? Can't you set the cup down on its bottom??
Oh my gosh. I just went back and watched...what the heck was I doing? Of course I could have set the cup down on the bottom! Why was I struggling so much with it? I will put my list of favorites again. I had them there, but somebody said I could get into trouble for linking without permission.
Where did you find your tumbler?
Hello! I found these at Michael's craft store, near the checkout line.
Turned out nice. I love the wood grain look
Thank you! Woodgrain is so much fun, and very popular. I love the watermelon tumbler on your channel! I think I am going to try one this summer.
Last year I got into sewing. I bought a machine and a serger. I am self taught by watching videos. I made some stuff but not perfect. I plan on getting back on it to learn more.
Awesome! Keep practicing! I will watch for YOUR sewing videos someday.
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much! I am going to get better at this video thing!
