    Think of it this way. The GrillGun is for large and in charge out door fire needs, the Su-VGun is a smaller focused clean burning flame suitable for direct application on food. You decide which is more appropriate for your needs.

    Hi @GrillBlazer can i purchase a Grill Gun with Su-V flame concentrator plate?

    • @bobhealey1365
      @bobhealey1365 22 дня назад

      The GrillGun wouldn't work with the focusing plate, it has too much fuel and air moving through it, otherwise, I would have designed it that way.

      Thanks. So kind of you to reply. I just saw a video you posted here with the grill gun having that plate It was the burger searing video that is why i asked. Just cant decide between the suv gun and the grill gun.

    I have trouble getting the gun to light. What is the exact sequence. Do you hold the handle open when screwing on the bottle. Is the check valve closed initially? Pull the handle , open the check valve, then pull the trigger?

    Why wasn’t the service kit not included with the purchase? It obvious you know about the possibility of malfunctioning when it was designed.

    • @bobhealey1365
      @bobhealey1365 9 месяцев назад

      We have sold over 60,000 GrillGuns and fewer than 500 service kits. It is not likely that you will clog the torch nor do we think that everyone needs to bear the cost of a service kit when it is mostly unnecessary.

      @bobhealey1365 BS. I've had mine for a year and have had to take it apart multiple times. With EVERY use I have to attach the gun, turn it on, detach the gun, clear the propane out of it, and then reattach it for it to fully work. Even then, I still sometimes have to take it apart. Edit: and this time, even after taking it apart and emptying the hose, I STILL cant get the full blast. 🙄

      Getting people to slow down long enough to learn to use these torches right, is paramount. Guys are naturally inclined to think that they "don't need no stinkin' instructions". Check valves are not typically employed in torches, because torches are not typically "BIG BAD FIRE BREATHERS" that need safety controls like these have. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment!

      You would be surprised how many people don't read the manual and the check-valve fouls them up. Making a high-power torch that shuts itself down for safety reasons is not intuitive to use. You either need to read the manual, have a friend show you, or watch this video.

I was turning the red knob to full blast each time and that was too much. He dialed it back a little and it started working perfectly.

    I used my gun maybe half a dozen times before it stopped working. Obviously there are design issues that you knew about in advance, charging separately for a kit that's going to be necessary for the operation of your device is borderline fraudulent activity.

    • @grillblazer
      @grillblazer Год назад

      Please contact support@grillblazer.com directly, because we are happy to help you through whatever issue you are having. The idea of selling a service kit is to enable people fix their clogged torches themselves, when they have used poor quality or dirty fuel. The alternative is to make everyone in this situation send us their torch to be serviced. If there were any design issues, we have made adjustments by now, but there simply aren't any. Since we started selling these torches we have sold less than 300 service kits against upwards of 60,000 torches, without the need to service them. From this perspective, it would actually be fraudulent to upcharge every sale with the cost of a service kit that only 2 in 1000 people will never use. Again, I'm sorry you have a problem with your torch and we want to help, so please contact us to give us a chance.

      @@grillblazerwhat an asinine comment. How should your customers distinguish clean and “dirty” propane? Perhaps instead you should have designed your product to work across a range of propane sources? Never had this clogging issue with any propane grill i’ve used.

Harbor Freight has one just as good if not better because it can connect to larger tanks as well. it can be regulated and has a trigger just like yours ALL for $25.00 it's the Greenwood Propane Torch. Love your product, Bob! Although I did cringe every time you explained the workings and solution to this problem, because you're so technically minded that you don't see it as a problem to solve. Mind you, I could be wrong here, but I likely suffer from the same thing. I feel Bernzomatic did that with their TS4000/8000, which is the golden standard (as far as a tool goes). If you want to sell lots of these, and I hope you sell LOTS of these... I encourage you to make it the best performing tool to any user. add a regulator, or clever device that allows unhindered performance when subjected to liquid propane. Cheers!
