Finally, someone reacting to the actual show and trailer and not just getting a massive boner over the wildly digitally altered Coldplay cover with Rosé. (I do love it but relax..people) I've seen Blackpink live, she doesn't sound like that.

I thought the episode was great. The interplay between Harold and Johnny over how to feel is fun, the way Parwana tells her Dad to shut up (I know what you’re thinking), and yes her bad ass move. The double tap to Omar’s head at the end was just perfect. I didn’t see it coming, but it rocked.

Sorry its garbage is what I thought. They gave so much air time to elimination then one after the another with less than a minute of explanation for the actual passed contestants. Too much drama excessively long so many many many chefs they couldn't do justice to many of them. At one point it was like a lucky draw.

This is the third adaptation. TNT remade the miniseries in 2004. It’s on DVD, and I'm getting my hands on a copy.

Nobody wanted to make Whannell's original concept Appalachian Murder Grampa into a movie until he slapped The Wolf Man name on it. 😅

Loved the Howard audition scene (fingers crossed for a Josh Gad cameo), Paul Rudd's cameo was hilarious, liked how the west side mystery had a simple explanation, still not sure who killed Sazz (maybe a rival stunt person who had the same idea as Sazz) liked how you see Howard walking Hammy in the opening credits

I'm confused. What is Omar's reason to dig into the mystery woman (Parwana)? Why is Hamzad's monthly bribe to the Taliban late? Why is the daughter so important that Farzad thought to kill her?

The first episode was pretty interesting. Everything went pretty much the way I expected it to but I don't get why Jerry got shot. Was it just because he was mentioning rumors going around about the old Don dying in the bathtub? I like the idea of Dwight getting into legitimate businesses which makes sense for all sorts of reasons. From what I've heard this season's mainly going to involve bringing in the Kansas City mafia we've mostly heard of from Fargo another well written series. I don't really like the big bad being a Texas oil tycoon being from Texas myself and profoundly skeptical that lowering fossil fuel emissions can have any actual effect on climate change when there was zero observable effects on climate change from fossil fuel emissions being lowered to levels not seen since the Industrial Revolution during the pandemic. I personally think that's basically a scam there's no legitimate scientific evidence to support with all sorts of hidden agendas having to do with defunding places with fossil fuel based economies like Texas for various political reasons.

I remember the 1979 version scared the patooty out of me when I was a kid. Those silhouetted bodies with glowing eyes sitting in rocking chairs or looking in the windows gave me the total shivers. It looks like this particular adaptation is keeping that super creepy aesthetic. And the Gordon Lightfoot music in the background is the "Chef's Kiss." Can't wait to watch it.

The problem is they used Gordon Light foot, the man with the safest voice ever. It looks a little overdone, it's my favourite Stephen King story. I know the 1979 adaptation isn't true to the book, but as a screen production, it's the creepiest thing I have ever seen. Let's see.

I enjoyed it. Would have preferred a more nostalgic look back without the bitterness. Was surprised by the omission of Sixteen Candles and AMH.

I kind of can't wait to finally see this after it has been seating on the shelf and it is perfect time right in early fall and right at the begging of the Halloween season. I will not be shock if it turns out to be a hot for MAX.

Loved this episode the pairing off of all the characters was great I enjoyed Eva Longoria, Kumail Nanjiani (I would totally watch one of his Christmas workouts) and Zak Galafianakis I thought they were really funny and Howard's monologue about Oliver was amazing however the best scene for me was the Steve Martin, Eugene Levy and Richard Kind three hander was hilarious i could have watched an entire episode with just those 3. Also glad that Howard found the pig .

Good review! I had high hopes for this one and I really want to see it. I have seen the original many times since 1988! A trilogy would be perfect. Who knows if they aren’t already filming it. Kind of like they did with back to the future 2&3.

As a Universal Monster fan, this doesn’t look very appealing to me. I don’t like the fact that it’s set in modern day. The gothic atmosphere and period setting is why I love the original. If you take that away, it’s just a slasher film. I know they might have a tight budget, but period films can still be done with limited money. Hammer studios certainly didn’t have a lot of money. They just have to rely more on sets instead of shooting on location.

I think this might be the best season. I noticed that Oliver picked up a strand of tinsel by the widow in the dudenoff apt. Sazz had the word workout written on paper on her desk. 1 of the characters says that the guy who celebrates Christmas all year long is always working out.

Loved this episode! that goodbye scene with Steve Martin and Jane Lynch was so heartfelt and sincere it was a genuine teary eyed moment on the flip side so relieved that it was a ham in the bathroom

I wish they didn’t go this round with a prequel, it might be set a bit too close to the original as this film will be following Terry Gionoffrio, Rosemarry’s neighbour who killed herself in the beginning of that film. how much can they tell the story when they setting the prequel this close to the original and choose this character as the lead.

Where and how can I watch in the UK?

In this episode when the three went in her apartment did you wonder what those sounds were? They heard it but then ignored it. I immediately thought the killer was in another room and just escaped through the window when they heard them come inside and call for her. But they didn’t go to check what or who made that sound. It didn’t sound like it came from outside. What do you think?! 👀
