    So, how do you flush a lineset like the second one with the chemical flush? I tried similar and the fluid just ran back down and out since the easy flush kits don't have enough pressure to overcome the vertical rise.

Can I open the service hi and lo valves so the nitrogen can go thru both the compressor and condenser or should only the evaporator and its lines be checked? Same question to do a vacuum test? All the system or just the evaporator side?

      @@gilbertjaramillo8735 I did not get any answer but what I did is that I opened both valves and pulled a vacuum to about 300 and look for it to rise and it did not much after 30 minutes. I left the valve cores of the service ports in. Took longer but the advantage is that you can feed your refrigerant and not worry about breaking your vacuum and let some gas (beside refrigerant in).

    At least I like that they've improved it the first two models having the threads in the same area as the cold temperature it would make the threads swell up and overtime eventually you couldn't unscrew it by hand then you would leave it slightly loose so you can get it unscrewed and the cold temperature just end up being too close to the threads and it ruined the unit, being this one the threads are at the bottom nowhere near where the outlet is they'll probably last a lot longer...

    This seems like a good idea for killing germs but it also seems like it would be very airflow restrictive. What effect does that have on all the other system components and the HVAC efficiency?

    • @felixchien1664
      @felixchien1664 2 месяца назад

      If you look at the duct work and the supply plenum of the HVAC system, the bulb wouldn't affect the "airflow" from the plenum through the ductwork and then to the air registers. If anything, the "airflow restriction" you're thinking would only increase the static pressure. When the air flows across the evaporator coils, you don't want the air to continue flowing into the ductwork. What happens is the air first hits the backwall of the supply plenum and then that air gets distributed to each ductwork going into the rooms of the house. So it's not about the speed of the airflow being restricted, but the amount of static pressure the blower provides which "pushes" the air through the ductwork into the house.

    • @felixchien1664
      @felixchien1664 2 месяца назад

      If that explanation didn't make too much sense or tl;dr, the UV lamp would not restrict the amount of air being pushed out at the register. Overall, the UV Lamp would increase the air movement because the UV light would get rid of clogs in the evaporator coils.
