Florida Keys Deer was not intimidated by the camera!

This Florida Keys deer was not impressed at all by my presence. It was so close I could have pet it. Florida Keys deers are a special and very rare subspecies of White-Tailed deers that live only in the Florida Key. They are much smaller than other deer sub-species due to the scarce ressources on the small island they've been living on for generations.

A cute deer is looking for food in the snow. Canadian winters are a long and sometimes harsh period to go through for animals due to the scarcity of food. However, white-tailed deers are used to look for food anywhere they can, even plunging their musel through the snow to reach the frozen grass.

I was able to watch this white-tailed (Virginia) deer from up close while it was eating. I like the orange/reddish color of its fur.

I had the opportunity to observe a group of deers feasting on apples. A buck also tried to court a doe but it ended in a little fight!
