So fun
We love this one too. When we sing it with groups of children in classes, we have some very fun hand motions that make it even more fun (and sometimes chaotic... especially as the tempo gets faster!)
Music that reverberates with body’s cells in a most natural way ! God’s music’s meter and cadence brings health to all cells indeed ! Thank you for your dedication to this true worship music and thank you for your voices offered to accomplish His instructions/ directions/laws! All falls in place when doing so !
Thanks so much for the kind words! I hope you're singing along with us at home.
One of my favorites ❤
Ar hyd y nos!
Let the reader understand.
@@TheSingingFamilyChannel Not a criticism, just happy to see one of my favorite songs represented!
Of course - I was merely trying to give due respect for your knowledge of the Welsh title! Do you sing it in welsh??
@@TheSingingFamilyChannel I certainly have. Welsh lullabies have such beautiful harmonies!
Great video and great singing! Do you have a PDF with the sheet music that you can share, please?
Yea I’m happy to! Email me at Nate at the singing family dot com and I’ll send the music your way. Thanks for listening!
MORE OF THIS 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for listening - I hope it was helpful. Would be happy to hear any other topics that you'd like to hear addressed in this way, if any come to mind!
So fun ❤
Yay!! The hammered dulcimer! How fun 😊
Great harmony i love it. Continue to sing.🎉❤
Thanks for listening - I hope you’ll be singing with us as well!
Thanks for the explanation, very helpful to newbies like me :)
I'm glad it was helpful! Please feel free to reach out if you have any other "newbie" questions. Happy singing!
Thanks so much! I so appreciate finding this for our AO hymn this month. We've been loving the Mother Goose canons. It's funny, I learned how to sing harmony as a child, and my mother often had us sing rounds. But as a singing mother I have been unable to help my children learn harmony. It had never occurred to me that singing in rounds was a key part of learning to sing separate parts. Since we've begun singing rounds together, their ability to harmonize has begun to develop. Your channel has been an immeasurable blessing to our family, thank you.
Wow - this is such an encouraging and wonderful thing to hear! I’m very thankful to know that your family is working through the Mother Goose Canons, and I would be happy to help in any way if any questions arise as you continue to sing together! Have a wonderful year of homeschooling!
Thank you!
Thanks for listening, and I hope your family enjoys singing with us!
I love this! Thank you!
Thanks so much - I hope you enjoy singing this hymn!
🎉 thank you
You’re very welcome!
Thank you for this!!! ❤
Thank you so much for listening! I hope it is helpful to your family - happy singing!
I love this song!!
Thanks for listening!
Nice playing, guys. Nate, now I want to hear that bass played alone so I can hear it well!
Thanks for listening! If you notice the bass player, it probably means he has done something wrong... ;)
Ha! @@TheSingingFamilyChannel Still want to hear a solo.
Nice great tutorial , but… Needs to be studied with a piano each ( voice )first , then the harmony will be clear. It’s like another language for a musician. Reading texts in to music. Great job! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
This was absolutely beautiful and something our family are going to take on learning. Thank you for your instruction and God bless! <3
Thanks so much for listening, and I hope your family has a great time singing this together!
A very clever song. Nice picking on the bass and mandolin.
Thanks for listening!
This is amazing! Good job Jenna :)
Love it.
Perfect guitar and perfect voice👏👏👏 great song
Gorgeous guitar playing! Perfect for this song :)
Aww shucks. ;) Thanks!
Thankyou so much .I grew up in an Evangelical church and never learned to sing
So thankful you found it helpful - blessings upon your musical discipleship and may you sing joyfully and skillfully unto the Lord!
A lovely rendition of a classic
Thanks for listening!!
Awesome!
Thanks so much!
Very nicely done! Thank;you!
Thanks for listening!
Wow! This is so nice. :)
Thanks!!
Beautiful
Why hasn't this been covered by a grunge band (afaik)? This is Leadbelly but better.
Haha! Interesting - can’t say I’d have any expertise on that style but I’m sure it would be worth a try. We really like Bruce Molsky’s version, if you haven’t heard it (though it is very much in the same old-time vein).
Great job!
Thanks so much for listening!
Much Love
Thank you!
So hard to play and sing at the same time. I like the different style
Yes, especially on the fiddle, an instrument whose sonorities and range so closely resemble those of the human voice (and whose sound rings right into your left ear)... Such a beautiful sound, though. Keala is a hardworking and talented musician! Thanks for listening, as always.
So pretty!
Thank you so much!
These are fun actually
Thanks - we have a lot of fun with them, at any rate!
Add some writings so that we can also learn
I’d be more than happy to email you a pdf copy of any of the canons you’d like to learn, if helpful!
Wow, complex! Wonderful.
Thanks so much, I hope you sing it with your family as well!
Beautiful singing and canon, thank you!
The Singing Family, This made me so happy! I liked and subscribed!
Thanks so much for listening!
Beautiful 😊 Praise the Lord Almighty
Praise Him, indeed!
One of my favorites
Ours too!
How lovely to sing with your children! What a super little girl. Well done little one 😁
Thanks so much - it is an amazing gift to share music with children and to sing together as a family!
This made my morning. How beautiful!!! Precious!
Thanks for listening - I hope you had fun singing along!
Wow this one is so fun and lovely! Thank you!
Thanks!!
Thank you for the video. Is sheet music available for this? My family can read music, so the teaching session could just be handing over a piece of paper :-D
Oh, I just saw, "Supporters get access to PDF Sheet music of the canons". Okay, I'll write it out myself ;-)
Thanks for listening. I’m happy to share a pdf for this if you’d like - no need for you to transcribe it! We like to teach by ear as much as possible because, while written sheet music is obviously a very helpful tool and reference, we believe that learning by ear is a more efficient way to transfer music (or poetry or scripture) directly onto the tablets of our hearts. Our hope is that students will be able to memorize the music (and the passage of scripture) in the amount of time that it takes to watch the video. My experience has been that using sheet music as a reference can be very helpful, but it can also sometimes slow down the process of memorization. Either way, happy to share the pdf if you email me at Nate at thesingingfamily dot com. Thanks again and happy singing!
@@TheSingingFamilyChannel Right on! Literate musicians usually have a TERRIBLE time memorizing! Thank you for the offer, but I'm done transcribing now. Keep up the great work!
@@dartme18 got it - thanks again! Offer stands if you find another one or two that you think are worth singing. Just shoot me an email, happy to share the PDF!
Wow, one of my favorites, so beautiful! A perfect one for Easter.
Very glad you liked it and I hope you will all enjoy singing it together!
This is really helpful. Thank you all for putting the time and effort in to teaching us how to sing this hymn.
You are so welcome! Thanks for listening and I hope you've been able to sing this hymn with your family. Keep your eyes out for a lovely eastern hymn, O Sons and Daughters, which we'll be publishing this week!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
