Pocketknife Therapy
Добавлен 11 окт 2023
This is my journey learning about pocketknives and also letting go of the past. I don't know much about these pocketknives, but as I learn more and more about them, I'm talking about what I've learned about the history of each one.
After my father passed away, I inherited my grandfather's pocketknife collection. All the knives were in a big jumble, and I didn't know which ones were which.
There are approximately a thousand of these knives, and I just can't keep them all so I'm auctioning them off individually on eBay, but before I do I thought I'd make videos about each knife before putting it up for auction.
This channel is about my pocketknives, but also a journey of honoring my grandfather as well as way of letting go of the past and moving on.

❤beautiful!
Oh I like it yes indeed! I have an old Robeson Cut hawkbill, very basic and a bit warped in the blade, but the steel takes a really great edge so she's a user.
Sweet knife. @BigJ'sKnives would love that.
❤a special one….
That knife goes for around 40 to 56 dollars it’s a knife from the 1920s-30s. It’s a vintage knife.
❤Thanks❣️Nice knife….
Yes.. I think Utica made that
Try a jewlers loupe to see if u can make any letters out
Intetesting that bone looks like case tested era
There are old case knives that are missing tang stamps. These are mostly the knives that came before the case xx knives. It was a factory error back in the day and it’s very possible that it’s one of the vintage case knives that ended up missing the tang stamps.
Hmm I think I have seen similar shield and bone on an empire knife.. but that is a complete guess and is probably incorrect
There is many vintage knife companies that made this style of knife. Empire, imperial case and more
❤
I have a few of those knives. The one that you are showing I have one personally. That particular knife goes for 35 dollars typically. It’s definitely bone handle and it’s a USA World War Two era camping knife there was a few models of those type of knives didn’t have tang stamps or the tang stamp could have very easily faded with use. That particular camping knife is from the era of world war two so it is an old knife. I collect knives and weapons in general and I know my stuff so I thought this little information would help you out
Thanks!
❤❤
I have one just like that.
❤cool
I have the same model in better shape but the same my grandfather carried it with him in ww2
We Always Called Those Kinda Knives Pen Knives Cause They're About The Size Of A Pen But I'm Not Sure. That Blade Isn't Bent It Made That Way So It'll Fit Past The Canopener When You Close It.
❤😮
That’s a beauty! I can never bring myself to pay a lot for these knives, because they never used bone covers. I will bid, but probably won’t win
Third opinion now no doubt a Queen from the 60s with worn winterbottom derlin and still worth keeping.
That seals it, it's a Queen! Thank you!
Definitely a Queen
Appreciate the ID, thanks!
That's very similar to the one that Mom had. Hers was gold on white but the green is pretty cool! She told us that it was illegal to own one in California but she had it as a souvenir from somewhere. This was in the 60's so the knives may go back a little further than you think. I don't remember any logos or source markings but I was about 6-7 when I saw it.
They're illegal to carry around, but not illegal to own. Pretty cool stuff, thanks!
Looks like an old queen knife
Thanks for the help!
Mom had one of the larger switch blades that looked a lot like this one. She lived in the Southern California desert not too far from Mexicali. This was in the 1960s though I have no idea when/where she got it. She kept it a dresser drawer and would let us look at it every once in a while. Thanks for the memories!
That's cool! I've come across a couple others that may be more what your mom had. ruclips.net/video/jaq5dT7zitg/видео.html Thanks for watching!
❤😍nice
❤😊
Nice.. I have a similar one made by camillus

Very nice❤
Cocobolo is wood. I would just call those synthetic handles. Line on the main blade is saber grind. Nice one!
Thank you, definitely synthetic, appreciate the help!
❤ very interesting
Nice knife that was well kept!
Super cool little slipjoint! AAPK forum has a thread about the 5¢ Coca Cola knives. The overall suggestion is 50's to 70's.
