    In the 1980's horror movies were popular mostly by word of mouth. Not constant ads that show to much of the movie. The Funhouse is a good one. Thanks CD56.

    The nice thing about the movie is that it shows a culture completely in harmony with nature. Stars Glenn Close, Chrisopher Plummer, as well as Penn and Teller.

    Jeffrey Jones is not in jail and his "character" was not needed. They could have just had him die of natural causes and be done with it. Nor did they need to show Lydia's husband covered in fish and all chewed up. He could have appeared as an abarition from heaven ("The Great Beyond") or not at all. Too much Beetlejuice, and he was shown too early. When summoned, it was anticlimactic. I loved the original, but this was bad.

    I LOVE St. Maude. But, I can understand why people didn't go for it. It's a movie about spirituality. And having faith in something that you can not see. It's not your usual spook fest. It's actually a very deep movie. Goes over most people's heads.

    The Fistful of Yen segment you refer to is a truncated yet nearly shot by shot remake spoof on Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. Even much of the dialogue is reused, just in a more comedic manner.

    This is a very good different kind of vampire movie. The reason you are unfamiliar with it, is because at the time of release Paramount studios had no fath in it doing well so they did not prompt it. Thanks of the review.

      That’s a very astute observation and I can absolutely see that! It had a very Dirty Harry feel to it and I could see a producer saying they needed a mans man like Eastwood and the next guy in the manly line would be The Duke lol
