A solo by Carlos Salzedo that is quite unlike his other works. Ceremonial and orchestral in nature, it is a tour-de-force for the performer. It has been rarely performed since its premiere.

i get emotional listening and watching you play. I just keep coming back to this video all the time.
Thank you. I was entranced.
Wonderful to have these video recordings as documentary. Superbly played sounding very true to Salzedo.
masterfully played!!
Invite him to the salon.
Heights abound.
A masterful interpretation with fine attention to detail.
Those right-hand chords look enormous!
What seems at first to be a slight piece turns out to be intensely moving in its simplicity and emotional depth.
I recognize that parts of this music were originally written for harp duo by Debussy.
we're using the scales variation as an exercise (slowly) for evenness of tone, and I've been religiously studying this video! Thank you again Saul.
Halffter's Danza de la Pastora.
The microphone fails to pick up a lot of the notes.
It's said that this was Carlos Salzedo's favorite encore. Over time, I can understand it's ever-growing allure.
Yay for Saul. I bet that is the longest and smoothest that anyone has ever played that final trill!
Saul it's me Cathy from new York You sound so nice wow
Beautiful saul
Nice saul this is cathy from ballet class.remember haynes.
This is the best performance of this piece I’ve ever seen or heard. So poignant.
Astral! What a gem.
Stylistically rendered to perfection!
Saul, you have such a sense of style: Beautiful clarity for this piece on the brink of the Classical period.
What a haunting piece! So reminiscent of film music (in a GOOD way). Very mysterious, almost menacing in places.
Thank you very much!
Thank you for bringing this piece back to light after it being inexplicably neglected for so long!
Wonderful: Stately, measured, and regal!
Sorry my comment below was truncated. I was going to say your playing was virtusosic, very nuanced, and in places acrobatic.
Saul, this a
A romantic, poignant, and almost operatic performance. Bravo, Saul!
Saul, the Chanson is ovely, elegiac, highly expressive. Thank you for this moving performance.
Saul, your playing is colorful and rhythmic. You give a beautiful presentation of various dance forms, particularly in the last Spanish ones - - these have a deeply felt Spanish flair!
great!!!! i’m glad to hear a lesser known piece by salzedo. this one us magical!
Many thanks!
Very much enjoy your playing!

This is movement two.
This is movement three.
This is the Adagio, movement two.
So incredibly moving. Thank you.
How remarkable, a piece composed of nearly all harmonics, and including those of the 12th! How difficult.
And truly poetic.
Nicely played!
Really beautiful, thank you for sharing.
Lyrical enchantment.
mmmmmmmmmgolden cream
Very Beautiful!!
Wonderful!!! Very beautiful! you play very well! Congratulations!
This is more like an orchestration than a transcription.
Masterful, beautiful.
+Beth Levin Praise from a master, indeed. Thank you!
Saul, thank you, beautifully played! Lovely to have a student of Lucile Lawrence performing them here.
Wow! This is awesome! Thanks for the wonderful Salzedo technique.
Beautiful
Gorgeous sound and excellent rendition by Saul Davis Zlatkovski of this delicate instrumental artwork by Rameau. Precious contrast of sounds from more wood and rounded to more metallic, and passing through many of the possible tones that this magnificent instrument produces in the tolling of its strings. Full of nuances in the dynamics in strong, piano, growing, diminuendo and ritardandos, and very well supported and deep. Each note is clearly marked, with superbly executed simultaneous chords. A delight for the senses.
