Nice video, but it is really difficult to justify serving the entire main meal on a single tray on an international business class flight. It's a little unusual to hear someone raving about United the way you do. It doesn't bear out my experience over the years, but I am glad you like it so much.

the BA A380 in First is a different environment. i flew BOS-LHR & LHR-SFO on the A380 in First and both were a great experience. The Crew on both were exceptional, attentive and the Purser introduced herself to everyone. No challenges if you wished to have your bed prepared. BA as many people state, is famous for delayed flights, and the C/Room is nothing special. I encountered rudeness throughout - dining/felt hurried, asked a quick question about one of my flights and received a sarcastic/uncaring response, and the service while sitting in a chair or on a couch was disorganized and robotic. boarding is always a mess; so unprepared for a large aircraft; staff standing around looking like they have no idea what is happening.

380 aren't getting phased out, BA finally announced the refit for their 380's beginning in 2026.

Inaccurate information there are solo balcony suites and solo ocean view/picture view cabins on NCL.

The food looks good and great to hear about the stellar service. Unfortunately, these seats just aren't competitive these days - so unless you have a good redemption or LH offers a non-stop/direct service that benefits you time-wise, it's really not a good option for long-haul business. It will take years for Allegris to retrofit (if at all), and these seats (and the IFE) are just so disappointing. There are many reasonable alternatives. Thanks for posting!

In my opinion, if you are on a daylight hop, then the new CW Suite is kinda fine, BUT for an overnighter then First is the way to go - a much better 'Business Class' ( even though they call it First ) & more room so a far better sleep experience...PS I have flown BA First for 20 odd years ( pre 2003 we flew by Concorde transatlantic which was ways more fun ) and they are ALWAYS running out of items on the menu, even these days where most First cabins are generally only 8 seats!!!! It's a VERY poor show when you hear that lime ' I am sorry Sir we have run out of blah blah blah'...

A bit harsh to say it’s a true Heathrow tradition to have a long taxi. You departed from 27R, they regularly alternate with 09R which is a very short taxi. Did you not visit the T5 B gate Lounge too ?it’s very nice.

Nice, comprehensive and objective review. The only smart way to book a First Class seat is to use your miles. Of course, finding a "rewards seat" is sometimes quite difficult. Having a small meal first on this particular flight was definitely the way to go. I'm going to subscribe to your channel because of this review.

I agree that Business class would be good enough too for me, and yes I have recently flown on the new club suite business class seat, but on a 777, it definitely was worth it regardless

I will be taking the same flight number, but in Business Class, for the return leg of my next trip to the UK. I have never had an issue with the cabin crew on any BA flight I have taken. I would though NEVER consider First, as I have flown the 787 new configuration and believe it gives me all that I could want on a Transatlantic flight.

On your comment re the A380… I guess eventually all aircraft are phased out. BA is fitting the new First product and club Suites soon (don’t ask…I don’t know😊) So not going quite yet.

Taking the same flight in October for the marathon, only in Club. I see zero reason to shell out anything more than £100 to go First. Virgin Retreat Suite and Q Suite got BA beat. Thank you for the review. As a proud Yorkshireman (pronounced "Yorksher"), being deprived of a Yorkshire pudding is a sin!

I’ve flown BA First for years and have flown QSuites from both Seattle and Los Angeles to Doha. The space in the QSuite pod, while very good for business class, simply does not compare to BA First, even on a smallish 787-10. Try getting out of a QSuite bed if you’re in a window seat as shown in the video ( 8:05 ). Unless you’re a contortionist, it is virtually impossible to get past the bulge from the seat behind you! The video screen is very close to your face/body in QSuites - look at the difference in BA First. The cabins are not the same at all - not even close. Again, QSuites are a nice business class product, but they aren’t first class in any way. To suggest otherwise indicates a lack of observation. With respect to the Concorde Room, the cabana (essentially a small dayroom/toilet with room service that is bookable for up to 4 hours) is where I have spent most of my time in transit. I find the clubby restaurant area in the Concorde Room just fine - food isn’t 3 star Michelin, but neither is the Safwa Lounge in Doha or Emirates’ first class lounge. All are only airline lounges - what the Concorde Room lacks is buffet type offerings so common in Dubai. The Concorde Room is much more restaurant-like, without big bowls of food.

‘Free WiFi’ when you’re paying multiples of a business class fare? I should cocoa. Do they charge to select a seat like they do in business? BA has totally lost it these days.

I’m into fitness so know about not eating / drinking too much on long haul journeys. Apart from the welcome champagne I stick to water. Tried B.A.’s First class a few years ago, nice experience but not worth the extra cost over Business.

I’ll be interested in your lst class experience. I’ve only used B.A.’s first class once, on an 11.5hr long haul, it was very nice but not worth the extra cost over Business.
