the loud awful background music played in the stadium says it all about this bs karate style. Commentators: clueless, as to be expected. As for the competitors… can’t even do a shuto-uke correctly. Try blocking a strike with the wrist at that angle. Absurd.
Can someone please explain to me why is he (and other top-tier kata performers) stomping? I was taught that stomping is a bad thing, also learned the same thing from many other sources and masters. Yet, all of the best karatekas make pretty loud sounds while transitioning from stances... Thanks!

In my opinion the okinawa team (kiyuna, uemura and Kinjo) has a better kata but I love the bunkai from moto's brothers and arimoto

I liked the katas but the judges decision was not and very disappointed even wkf have this issues

This is kata not kumite , they show karate techniek in this and get point ,not fight each other

Moto trains mainly with the Japan Shoto-Renmei with Kagawa sensei I believe, whereas Arata trains at the Ryuei-Ryu honbu with Tsuguo Sakumoto:))

There is kata and kumite, if you want to see a fight watch kumite competitions
Kata is like an imaginary combat, you can see the Kata applications in the teams, that is called bunkai

This is Daiman's best Superinpei performance although he still pales in comparison to Antonio Diaz, who was a master of this Kata as for Ryo He is one of the best performers out there and he makes Ohan Dai look good despite how unimpressive it is
Checked out Antonio Diaz and his performance based on what you said. I can see why it will appear better....... But Damien's performance is the one which truly Impresses me. Antonio did not exhibit Original Meaning or Understanding of Crane's Form. Basically what that kata was made For and From. What it's about. Damien's performance however..... no matter how much less "smooth" it appears........does.
@@affalee8216 well you right but I mean sports karate is about Speed, power athleticism and smoothness, I love karate philosophy however we need to look at it from the perspective of someone watching
@@lijonsa_music not sure if that truly is definition of sports karate. But if it is.... it'd be something else, not karate. Otherwise, you wouldn't be doing some legit typical punches....... along with alot of utterly useless movements that do nothing as it wasn't done right. Legit punching with waving dance movements ? When actually every movement had a point to them in karate. Superinpei is Superinpei.....a Method of Body Power projection. To Demonstrate..... how you utilise specific body mechanics...... for Increased Strike Force/kinetics. Quintero displayed that, Diaz didn't. To me anyway.
