Pati Family Reunion: Day 3 (Kayaking, Birthdays and Late Night Bingo)
Welcome to Day 3 of Camp Pati!
80+ of our family members have gathered in Orcas Island, WA to create memories that will last generations. Today we went on a kayaking adventure and, without fail, we experienced the good, the bad, and the great. Thank you to Uncle Tavita, Teresa, Aunty Dawn, Vina, Alex, Jacob, Fiona and Evan for making today's meals extra special (and extra on time). We couldn't disappoint Uncle Tavita and miss out on his late night Bingo.
Thank you to Aunty Pa'i for planning our wonderful excursion today as well as Aunty Laiga for calling bingo.
These family videos began in October during our visit to Samoa for the main purpose of giving Grandma memories to enjoy over and ov...

Day 8 9 we truly met grandma and grandpa’s twin flames💌 When I first saw Aunty Pai it felt like I was seeing another version of Grandma. The version of her and grandpa if they were to stay on the Island. Aunty Pai and Uncle Teach (he was a teacher at Samoana High School and faife’au) both share similar mannerisms and humor and our grandparents. It was like watching a live VCR tape of the past. ...

1:52 you guys went thru Faleolo whilst staying in Apia to return to Pago? Talofa Airways(what happened to Samoa Airways?) doesn’t even show this smaller airport as a destination on their website…so it’s probably safe to assume that this smaller airport(near Vailima I think) is gone? Asking for a…well me actually lol any help would be greatly appreciated Edit: ya know it dawned on me that if most the vlogs I’ve been scouring of home all seem to go thru Faleolo, it’s probably safe to assume the airport I was alluding to is closed. Was looking to end my 20+ year streak away from home come Teuila 2024

Hello Hiltons Driver. It is disheartening to witness such disrespectful behavior and superiority complex. It is important to remember that language proficiency should never be used as a measure of someone's worth or intelligence. It is unfortunate that this allows you to feel the need to belittle others and act as if you are superior. It is worth questioning whether your English proficiency is as exceptional as you seem to claim, given your inability to communicate in a respectful and inclusive manner? Your behavior raises doubts about your own language skills and understanding of cultural diversity? It is important to approach language differences with empathy and respect, rather than using them as a means to demean or mock others. As for your decision to hide behind a screen and disguise your true identity, it is possible that you do not feel safe or confident enough to expose yourself? This anonymity allows you to avoid accountability for your hurtful comments and shields you from the consequences of your actions. It is unfortunate that individuals resort to such behavior, as it reflects their own insecurities and lack of empathy. Let us remember that language proficiency should never be used as a tool for discrimination or superiority. Instead, let us foster an environment of respect, understanding, and appreciation for diverse linguistic backgrounds. It is through empathy and open-mindedness that we can build bridges of communication and create a more inclusive society. If there is one thing I want to conclude with in the Samoan language, it would be, “A malu I fale, e malu I fafo!” I pray this reminds us of our shared humanity and the importance of avoiding hypocrisy, seeking respect and forgiveness. To your continued success here in America and beyond 🙏🏽

Daaaaaaamn, @Hiltons Driver, those thoughts came to your mind when watching this video!? The average viewer, such as myself, sees a loving grandmother with her daughters and granddaughters visiting the island. Your comments with laughing emojis comes across as sad, mean spirited, and personal. Do you know these people? How do you know or not if they visit the island multiple times a year? Or if they contribute or assist in humanitarian causes for the Samoan people? Please, do share your insights. If not, just another hateful internet troll spreading negativity. Be a better person than this.

Well the grandma have a lot of love for Samoa that she returned with her daughters/granddaughter to visit the motherland and reconnect with their families from the two Samoas. I bet you their family don't care if they speak English or Samoan when they returned back home. As the old folks would say "Aua le popole ole mea sili lava ua va'ai atu ua tou omai"
