@VxStreme yeah I think so also if that comes to pass but there has been a lot of low code no code solutions that have not gone wide spread so we will see how wide spread AI will be but if that does happen it will be it would definitely be AI training specialist jobs. Just not sure how many I don't think it will be a 1 to 1 job replace for example for every dev there will not be another AI training specialist for the dev.

Yeah he has a huge stake in AI part of his reason he is saying this because he wants to hype up AI.

This may be the last window of time to get in, but it is considerably harder than in previous years. With recent layoffs and AI coming, entry-level jobs are going to be hard to obtain. But the bright side is that AI could help put you over the edge against competition and help you learn faster. There may still be a need for technical skills in roles like BA and architecture routes. But only the future will tell.

@@JustDexNotDexter What is the BA role? Business Analyst? Wont Business Analyst duties like reporting be more easily automatable?

@SuperLOLABC they also gather requirements and interact with non technical people and have some knowledge of the limitations of technology

@SuperLOLABC well BA,'s are on a lot of dev teams, same with PO and PM Product owner and product managers. So there would still need people to be in between business need and technology. But not sure if the future will come to pass. mark Zuckerberg has a stake in a post AI world he may want something that may never comes to pass or not in a time scale to affects us now. I would just take it day by day and see what happens in real time currently a lot of companies will not let you use AI as a dev let alone have AI completely code everything.

I do agree with this being scary and there are issues with alignment but with the contractor example I gave, the contractor would be able to fill in the blanks because the contractor would already know it's coming in to do xyz job and has that background knowledge to do xyz thing but that is like an AI that's already prompted to act as a certain specialty and to act in accordance to rules and then you ask it the question it would act in the same way. It's like bringing a doctor into a garage and asking it to fix the car but getting mad when the doctor called a mechanic instead of doing it her/his self. The job was done but maybe not as the person intended it to happen.

I can agree I think of it like this if AI is going to be used to find new and innovative solutions it would would make sense that it is applying new ways to old problems

@ I do agree with your assessment on the fact they really need to nail down the rules if they are gonna test something like this. These AI models remind me a lot of young soldiers, if you don't give them exact instructions they do it whichever way their brain works out the problem and that more often than not is not how you wanted them to do it. Many other big companies are doing the AI hype, but spending their own money on the development, and seem to be focused on actually trying to achieve something beyond stock price manipulation. But GM just seems to focus on getting Government money and making money for the executives by stockprice increses. Of course they are not alone in that but seem to be worse than most.

That's crazy they also said that they would save around 1 billion dollars from pulling out the investment. So I know the shareholders are smiling hard from this news.

What car brand are you talking about in particular from China?

I'm definitely looking forward to see how Tesla fares in this space.
