Tutorial on ReAmping using a Boss looper pedal
Here’s a recording tip I haven’t seen anyone else share. You can send audio from your computer through your guitar pedals by using one of them as an audio interface if you have a boss RC-300 or other usb compatible pedal. Hope this helps someone out there!

In this video, I talk about my experience making my first photobook on a very limited budget and the pros and cons of using Amazon KDP to self publish. I flip through the entire book and go over the sequencing, editing and thought process behind each image. My photobook 'One Happy Island' is available on Amazon here: a.co/d/04Lxufij And the links to purchase on all other Amazon marketplaces are...

The first entry in a new series where I review certain older digital cameras that I find to have a special quality to their images. In this video, I review the Panasonic Lumix LX3, a 10MP camera from 2008. Tattoo Art Inspiration - relax and draw with me EP#1

I made this video for anyone who might need some encouragement with their art. Relax and create with me! Check out my Instagram: bensen.art Thanks!
The "film like ccd sensor" main factor is the cork sniffer syndrome! 😂 I have the LX 2 Lx5, and no, they don't look anything like film! And I shoot 35mm and developed my own negatives! How can a digital photo look anything like film unless you actually print it on paper and do reprography with a 35mm camera! Ha
@@ezragonzalez8936 thanks for sharing your thoughts! Regardless of the “film look” controversy, I enjoy the look of these older digitals. Cheers!
@@Bensen.Creates Love your chanel keep up your fantastic content! cheers from Park City Utah!
LOVE THE VIDEO AND THE VIBE! just found my dad's old lx3, can i ask what are the BEST settings? B&W and colored. super cool photos, thank you!
@@gabo5014 awesome! I hope you enjoy it! Check out the settings in the video on the camera’s screen. Thanks and best of luck.
Such a great video man! I own the LX5 which I've also posted a video on if you're keen to see the photos. I love using it more than my professional mirrorless canon gear! I definitely need to make more videos with this camera and you've definitely inspired me to create more! Also great job with the music! 👏
@@liamwoolmore thank you ever so much!! I’ve been meaning to make more videos as well. Thanks for the comment, I’ll definitely check yours out!
Nice video! I'd be interested to hear more about your disappointment with the Fuji.
@@beeshepard thank you my friend! I think I’ll end up giving it another chance in the future and let you know! Some of my favourite photographers shoot Fuji and I do love the feel in hand.
Need the final result
Wow. Can you share your color recipe in camera.
Thank you so much! Yes if you pause the video when I’m showing it, you should be able to see the in camera settings. Otherwise, check out Ali’s video as I got them from her. Cheers!
WOOW... this is amazing. Ali inspires us all and i love her work. I really enjoyed your video and subscribed . Thank you. Do you have any recipes that you use for the picture profiles for the jpegs ? Thank you !☺
Thank you that’s very kind. I will make a video on some different editing tools I’ve found over the past while and my process at some point. :)
@Bensen.Creates Thank you very much for the consideration.
I am truly blown away by your artistic eye and talent. Your work brings the name Saul Leiter to mind.
Wow thank you. That’s a massive compliment. I’m humbled.
What settings do you use for color with the lx3 ?
I've devoted a lot of time and experience to shooting, as well as searching for a film-like kind of image, and I can say that this guy came closest to that. All those presets, like camera presets , including fuji and those sold by hyped photobloggers, are far behind. This guy must have at least as many subscribers as these inept bloggers!)
That’s so kind of you to say. Thank you for the support, it means a lot.
I've watched perhaps a dozen videos about this series of cameras, you have the best examples. Great frame feeling! Here you really think about whether you need a top-end camera for many tasks!)
Wow, that’s one of the nicest compliments I’ve received. Thank you and all the best!
There are four cameras from that gen: The Lx3, the G12, the P7000 and the EX1 - TL500. Samsung by far bested all others.
Thanks for the info. I may have to look into the Samsung. I have a few NX cameras and plan to do a Samsung video at some point. Thanks again.
On my third LX3 since 2010 (one just stopped working, the other I dropped, but I will attempt to fix it), I Just got my third. The main reason is the Black & White Dynamic and Nostalgic modes (note you can shoot in both Raw and jpeg), and the other is pocketability. Even though I own an X100F and VI, they are just too big for everyday walking to the shops usage, and the LX3's lack of size makes it less visible in a street context (though my main interest is shadow and light on buildings and, in particular, modernism). UK £120-180, I picked up a near-mint one for £143. Before the TikTok X100V lunacy, a friend I recommended buying one got it for £40! Also, the LX5 and LX7 increase in size, defeating the idea of pocketability. Note; the X100F also has a softer black and white look, which reminds me of the LX3, though even these are stupid prices; I bought mine s/h for £650 in early 2021, and now £900!
Great information, thanks a lot for contributing and taking the time to share.
Love the sharing man. May I know the name of cap? Tryna get it online tho but idk the name is😅😂
I would love to help but I don’t know off the top of my head as it came with my used camera. I would just check that the thread size is right.
Nice shots❤
Thank you 😊
Hi, great video! Where did you find the auto lens cap? I found one for LX7 model on aliexpress but I don't know if it is compatible with LX3 🤔
Congrats on the Zine! I just bought a LX3 myself for 150€ on ebay. Do you think this price is appropriate? It seems Ike it’s in very good condition! I’m very inspired by Daido Moriyama who used to shoot a lot with small digital cameras, very grainy bnw pictures with strong contrasts.
I also love Daido and I think the grainy art filter on here will be lots of fun for you to check out. There’s also a good app inspired by his look for your phone camera to check out called Provoke Cam. Who can say what anything is worth? If it’s worth it to you then it’s a good price. 😊
Love this review! I just ordered an LX5 that has been IR converted ☺ Really excited to try it out! Think I lean a little 'sharper' in style, so this will fit nicely. Great video, cheers!
Wonderful! Excited for you, enjoy.
The L letter is Lumix logo. Lumix G5 body has the same logo
You're absolutely right! Thanks for the correction.
Great video 😊! im new in to photography and I wanted to ask what settings do you use for your lumix? I’ve got mine from eBay last year 🙈.
I have also enjoyed older digital cameras over their newer replacement models. I have an x-t2 that sits on the shelf in favor of my 9 year old 16 mega pickle x-e2s. I just had a conversation with a friend that wanted to upgrade his aps-c Sony camera. One of my favorites to use was the original fuji x100 but the autofocus was painfully slow. I love how soft and dreamy it looks wide open. You have made a wonderful book and I will definitely add it to my cart to purchase soon. I made my first short zine last month and I can totally relate to your enthusiasm.
Thanks so much for your support. I'd love to check your zine out too. Amazing! Cheers.
sir, the last photos are isn't raw and you edit it ?
@@olds10 Yes, the last group of photos are from my book. I shot those RAW but for some of them I preferred the JPGs and used those. I posted another video about making that book and talked about how I printed the images onto photo paper and rescanned them. I just wanted to note that in this LX3 video, the sample images are not the print scans, they are the original but edited photos.
@@Bensen.Creates thanks, I'm waiting for that!
does this camera giving trendy selfie sunset with flash photo?😁
@@luvrosv Yes, I think it could be great for that! The flash lends itself to that “disposable film camera” look.
Thanks for this video, it's cool to see you get high off your own work, it's so cute when people enjoy what they do^^
Thanks for watching and commenting! It's definitely fun to try new things like this.
Awesome bro, congrats on the book!!!
Thanks very much!
Such a cool and warm video. Dope that you made a book. I’d love to see the video about it!
Thank you, my friend!
I’m a amateur photographer that is also trying to find my forever film camera, I decided to buy an Olympus Pen E-p2 and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve been using the 25-42mm kit lens and a Olympus 40-75mm lens, as well as a godox lux jr. I subscribed to your channel and I’m really enjoying your content 👏
@@ezekielw436 that’s amazing! I actually just got a Pen E-P2 as well! Planning to do a video on it eventually. It’s such a great camera! Thanks for following.
Your photos are really lovely and interesting. Thanks for sharing them. You forgot to mention that it's Made in Japan.
Thanks for such a kind complement. Always nice to feel like my photos resonate with someone. Thanks for that added info too.
those are incredible shots man! keep it up
That's super kind of you to say. Thanks for the support!
I have the LUMIX LX7 and I’m in love with it 😎
Very nice! Maybe someday I'll get a chance to try some of the newer models in the LX lineup. Cheers.
I love digital camera's this got me into photography. My first camera is NIKON COOLPIX S2800 and I just got my second digital camera which is the MINOLTA DiMAGE X20. I think this the beginning of my new hobby in to photography.
That's great to hear. Keep doing and making things that you like.
Great video
Thanks for taking the time to say that!
Great video of one of my favorite cameras. Add great music you made and nice photos= I subscribed!
@@twistriderz1389 Thank you!! I had one subscriber when I posted this so I really appreciate it.
Somehow my nikon D850 (CMOS) produces similar colors than any CCD camera. Now, how's that? 🤷♂️
@@violet_world9385 awesome! There are a lot of CMOS cameras known for their special “filmic” sensors. The canon 5D classic comes to mind as an example. Thanks for the comment!
@@Bensen.Creates As does the Canon 30D and 40D. I have both as well as Lumix LX3. The LX7 (which I have) and the Leica D-Lux 5 (same as LX5) does NOT have the same "mood". Thanks for the excellent video.
@@klauslampe4199 My pleasure, thank you for watching!
your colors are so great !!! i dont know how but my color photos are always too yellow or blue, they rarely look as modern as your photos, could you tell me your settings to get the photos not look from 2008 all the time please?
@@abdeltzchibi3122 that’s too kind! Yes, the RAWs can come out with strange white balance. When I shoot jpeg, I use the settings in the “my film” presets shown in the video. I’ll make a video about how I edit in the future if there’s interest. Thanks again!
@@Bensen.CreatesI would love to see how you edit your photos, picked up a lx3 myself yesterday
For your colour shots, are you shooting raw and editing them, or shooting jpegs with the profiles you showed from 9:38 onwards
@@WhateverYouWant3531 Exactly! For the photos from my photobook, I’ll be posting a video soon about the process, but in general I do prefer to edit RAWs and if I shoot jpeg, it’s usually black and white. If I’m shooting jpeg colour, it’s the “my film” settings shown in the video. If I recall correctly, I got those “my film” settings from One Month Two Cameras and she got them from someone online. I’ll post some more videos soon with more info on my editing if anyone is interested :) thanks again!!
I would be interested to see your editing process. Your photos are stunning. @@Bensen.Creates
Some beautiful shots in there! I also snapped up one of these cameras on marketplace and love the the Dynamic black and white. I'm less in love with the colour options, curious as to what your go-to is there, or are you mostly editing raws? Cheers!
@@SpontSpiceWeasel thank you!! Yes a lot of these were RAW. When I shoot Jpeg colour, I use the settings in the two “my film” presets shown in the video. Cheers!
