It's a basic concept. Better the physiology of any crops, better is overall performance of crop and gives good yield. Take an example: Leaves of legume plants can intercept sunlight adequately, then there would be adequate photosynthesis and better physiology of legume plants help to translocate those photosynthates to the pods and provide good yield. If there would be difficulty in translocation of nutrients and water within the plants, then there would be difficulty in translocating the photosynthates from leaves to pods and results in poor yield. I have just given a basic example how physiology affects the yield.For further understanding, I would suggest you to use Google, read research papers, use chatgpt etc. Thank you and best wishes 🍀
