I work in the sewer industry and it amazes me at how um some people refuse to wear gloves when dealing with and touching raw shit lol some people already don’t wash they hands when using the rr but literally working and touching anything that’s down in a manhole bare hands is extremely caveman behavior 🤢🤮

real name for the machine is a crawler, the metal bar in the front is probably for when you have to go into a hole maybe like halfway down and have to swing the cralwer with the hook into the hole and sometimes can be difficult, bar kinda seems smart considering camera lens cost like 100k. never used the bars tho and have done this in Toronto & GTA lots. these machines cost ALOTT

Sheesh using a wench for that little bot? Y’all are lazy lol. Only time we use a wench on our truck is for the portable pipe ranger. Otherwise anything smaller even built up with spacers and big wheels on the lamp 2 we lower by hand with poles.
Yea man that full size pipe ranger is no joke! I'm not a super big guy but I was trying to swing it into a pipe from a type 2 and twisted my upper body, totally threw my back out. Not worth it! You guys ever use the Lamp 1?? We used to hate that thing haha
gigansmom Yeah man! We’re currently using Ques lamp 2 and their WTR robot with the Oz 3 camera heads and then the pipe ranger as well. When I first started working on the back end my operator was a dick and made me lift that pipe ranger up and down every time we had to set up. Didn’t tell me I could use the wench to swivel and help me I for sure threw my back out once and I bruised the ligaments in my wrist and was out on workman’s for a couple weeks to heal. But generally for the most part here in California were using the Lamp 2 systems since most lines are between 6-12 inches.
