There is a new video just up, I hope to post a bit more but it is always difficult to find time. I am also going to mix things up a little and post videos about all are different enterprises at Cawley Farms (as well as Dairy we have Arable and Sheep).
Why is the pit so dry?
HI yes. We use straw to bed the cows down on in the cubicle shed and this is scraped into the lagoon forming a thick solid crust on the surface.

Spread the cost and just do the heifers year. Over 4 or 5 years the whole herd will have them

We milk 1300 cows daily, in a 2x24 parlour...It's a 20 years old milking parlour...

So...5 years later, are you still happy you invested a million or more into this? Are you even still in biz? Just imagine, instead you could've invested in real estate, got a 6% yield and after 5 years a 50% return on capital. Why do you guys still do this milk commodity producer thing? It's totally nuts from an economic standpoint
