The Coping Room is an indie-rock trio based in Manila. The group had its start performing at the Cabanas Dine and Bar in Tagaytay. The then-duo caught the attention of other musicians at the venue who expressed interest in performing together. After gathering a few schoolmates from De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, the band changed its name to “The Coping Room” or “T.C.R” for short as a symbol of what brought them together in the first place: their love for music. The band sees music not only as a coping mechanism but as an outlet to express one’s personality to others. The band hopes to create music that reaches audiences on a personal level and serves to provide its listener’s a shoulder to lean on during both good and bad times.
