Your observations are so vivid-it feels like you’ve been wandering the isle yourself, noting every charming detail with the eye of a true adventurer. And that balance between expected and surprising? Perfectly said. Now, about our resident hobbit! It’s no surprise that they absolutely adore animals-probably even more than people, therefore there is no other house seen far and wide. The duck is, of course, a very welcome and dear friend on the lil island, adding a little feathered flair to the scene. And let’s just say this hobbit is definitely an artistic soul, but one with a touch of untidiness (aren’t all true artists?). That’s the real reason why the inside of the house remains a mystery for now-our hobbit needs a bit more time to tidy up before inviting guests (like you) inside! Who knows, maybe there’s a cozy corner inside with a little bed just for the duck, in case the nights get too chilly outside. Your story about the genius duck is absolutely delightful, by the way! It’s amazing how animals with such unique personalities can charm an entire community and leave such a lasting impression. I can’t help but imagine your neighbor’s duck would’ve been a fast friend to our hobbit-two kindred spirits drawn together by their love for creativity and connection. And my Elvis duck, now in heaven with my other duckling babies and my beloved little Chihuahua 😥, would have been the perfect addition to this funny, happy pack of charming creatures.
