My Jesus was my ransom( Matt 20:28, mark10:45,1 tim2:6) NOT my representative…. He was my example and my sin offering ( heb10:1-18). As my example I picked up my cross and crucified my old man and in so doing the new man came forth( romans6, gal5:24, eph4:22-24)… born again! I became HIS disciple… He is not my copilot! You need to fix this. How could you post such a powerful sermon when it isn't even complete. The end is obviously cut off. You are not helping anyone by doing that. Would you pass out only half a gospel tract or gift someone half a page from the bible?

I think you’re taking the onus off the pastors, too much. It is obviously an individual’s decision to be faithful and build a relationship w/ God, but I believe Jesus would do the exact same thing in modern churches, as He did in the Synagogue. These churches w/ cafes full of coffee, pastries, and donuts, would be just as heretical as the selling of pigeons! We do not attend church to be catered to, (talk about pushing MCS) in order to get people in the front door. Playing 3 worship songs, (upbeat, mid-tempo, then a slow song to “usher in” the Holy Spirit) pray before the last song, so everyone’s head is down while people move about the stage, bringing the pulpit to the center, pray before 20 minute sermon, pray again for the segued stage change, ending in a slow song while people gather their belongings, so the next service time can begin. Prayer has just become a segue for leaders to move about. Let’s take the Holy Scriptures, and hold it up against everything done in church. Let’s look at what Jesus said about church, who He said the leaders should look like, and TᕼEᑎ go from there. Jesus was much more focused on His Father’s plan, and zero of His own. Show me a church, that is just an empty building, (maybe some seating) so the only thing that fills the space is God’s Holy Spirit, God’s Word, and His people. It is a place to “eat,” but not donuts. We are to take Scripture and truly meditate upon it. To where each word is being digested, and infiltrating your very being. It should change you, your behaviors, and your words. If it doesn’t, then church leadership is to blame. They are trying to cultivate on stony earth, and the yield is minimal. Show me a church whose sole purpose is proper teaching of the Biblical text, and I’ll show you a church full of True Believers!

Absolute 💩 the old man must die first so that the new man can come forth.( eph 4:22-24). He must be crucified with its passions and desires ( tomans6, gal5:24). Which soil was the good one in the parable of the sower??? The one with the weeds and thrones you teach?!? Or the good soil which gives a crop free of weeds( sin)?!? God is truly the one who saves by his free gift! The question must be pondered, When a man has received a gift, can he not throw it away? Can he not despise his birthright and sell it for cheap temporary pleasures? Must he keep that gift?
