@@vwsith795dang my B8 A4 was doing 12.8s at 111mph trap speed the problem is that I can’t launch my car and it has a horrible turbo lag off line, that’s why I’m looking to switch to the supercharged platform

@@iLL3571 That's correct. I love the supercharged version. It's a little less torque due to the supercharger steals some but u have a smooth power through the rev line all the way from down low. Great tuning potentials. Only downside is that a supercharger produces alot of heat.

​@Marc Mars Not that I'm arguing against u since it's ur experience but it does sound quite unlikely when it comes to numbers. The sq5 weighs in on 1945kg/4288lbs, the s4 weighs in on 1725kg/3847lbs, thats 220kg/485lbs difference which is quite alot. It's over 2ton with a driver in it and aerodynamics should also be better with the smaller car. They produce more or less the same bhp stage 1 but worse power to weight ratio. Wether it's b8.5 or b9, it shouldn't be any large difference more than the supercharger should eventually pull away when the turbo runs out of steam in the higher revs and gear. Thus said, alot of variables can affect performance such as bad fuel(i always go for 99+ RON), carbon build up, heatsoak and age. Or simply just a bad of the shelf tune since u said it was I.E. some ots tunes works less good on some cars and less bad on others and requires some fine tuning through logging. That's why I always pay for a custom tune on a dyno so i know maximum power has been extracted within safety and power though the whole band with no flat spots.

@Marc Mars @Marc Mars There are more blown motors from OTS tunes... OTS tunes are always more concervative to remain safety for every vehicle but a custom tune will always be better. Whether it's maximum or not. 220kg is not something that just disappears with a tune lmao. Power to weight ratio is what matters on the road.

@Marc Mars Yep i do. Since all of them does their tune on 1 car. No car is the same. Im not saying they are making bad tunes, cause they dont, they are quality tunes for being OTS but the same developed tune wont perform the same on every car. Ive done REVO and its good, but thats where it stops. APR, 034 is quite better there. But non of them does it better than MRC on their dyno.

Optima has a lot of problems with equipped engines. For example, the fragile rigidity of the geometry of aluminum blocks, fragile liners. In addition, the golf handles better and tolerates chip tuning better.

@@vwsith795 would you reccomend this turbo for passing people on the highway with ease? My little is20 is running out of steam at 65mph haha.

@@yacluck8343 the is38 has a lot of lag for normal driving. I would suggest an upgraded is20 hybrid with a dyno tune.

For the 1.8, is20 is perfect. Is38 is very laggy but once you’re in the powerband, it pulls really hard.

@@vwsith795 Thanks good to know. I just want more power and keep reliability. I don’t plan on going to the track. It will be hard to do it now and surrender my 6 year 72k mile warranty. Keep up the good work.

@@PABU427 Dude I’m in the exact same friggen boat!! I got my sportwagen right before Xmas and I purchased a $2k extended warranty that covers me out 72k miles.... I’m sort of thinking of calling up and canceling it because I keep seeing the videos of these things tearing up some really fast cars!!

@@robertburton8055 I believe on the 2019s the 6 year/72k mile warranty came standard. Not fair for the people that bought a 2019 as a 2020. I wouldn’t pay extra for something you should have gotten for free.

@@PABU427 Oh no, I bought a 2017 model that already had 14k miles. I had in my head I was gonna get it and an extended warranty and then go put an APR stage 1 on it and have a decently fun used car that was completely covered under warranty for the next 6 years. Buuuuuut as I read the fine print on APRs website... their warranty covered product only applies to the original factory warranty and NOT the extended warranty I purchased. My car only came with a 3 year 36k mile warranty from the factory which is due to expire this year in august I believe.... So now I have a car that can either be covered by an extended warranty for the next 6 years or I can mod it and void the warranty OR from what I’m reading I can actually cancel the extended warranty and just prorate the remaining portion to go towards principal instead of the warranty itself.

Of course These V8 muscle cars are so overrates 😂 plus tuning those V8 muscle cars are so mad expensive im suprised you found some tuned.
