A short demo with an awesome Gibson ES 275 VOS P 90, just a few were build in 2017. These are great guitars with nice vintage features and very good Pu`s. It`s a very versatile guitar, from blues to rock over Jazz, perfect for many styles.

A few bars of " I can give you anything but love " with an awesome sounding ES 175 CC. Strung with O.11 roundwound strings, amplified with a Fender Blues Junior. Produced for a limited time in the late seventies, the ES-175CC features standard ES-175 specifications with the exception of the Charlie Christian-style pickup.

Nice guitar, a lot more dressing than my 1959 has. They were a cheaper line of guitars back then and didn't have the fancy fret markers. Good luck, may yours last as long as mine. : )

Hi, it`s a Deering John Hartford with a wooden tonering. The C tuning has a deeper tone. it`s a special, great banjo. Keep on playing the banjo !

Am look at this guitar or the professional 2 . Problem for me is where I live I have order them in. So why did you get that one and not the American made pro? It looks and sounds so good.
First, the Jason Isbell ist cheaper and with a roadworn finish. I think the Pu`s are more articulated as the pro 2. It`s a great Tele !

Did you have to agjudt the action? As mine needs lowering and iv followed the instructions turning the two nuts on the rod but nothing seems to happen. Any ideas. Thanks
Hi, there was no need for an adjustment until now. You can lower the bridge also for a lower action.

I don't know, I played some new D 18, there where all mighty fine !
If you bought a 2021 D18, then you bought the “reimagined” D18. The Reimagined Standard series was introduced officially in 2018, but the D18 was the first guitar to receive the upgraded appointments starting in 2012. So, if you bought a 2021 D18 you definitely have a Reimagined model.

I bought the GE version in 2016. I wish I would have got this d-18 though. I love my GE but it’s not worth the extra 12-1500$ extra. I think this is the best bang for buck but w 2k plus Martin’s

Martin sells nowadays Guitars like cars:-) " Thats the new one with the bla bla bla" There is a lot of marketing in the scene, buy a new standard one and play it a lot for years. Or take an old one to safe this procedere !
As the saying goes..." At least you have one "......40 years ago I bought my first beater guitar, and then a few more.... there were way more decent Japanese guitars and no Martin's anywhere ..... So that's what we played! My 1972 Ventura V6 is Totally equal to a D18. I took it to 400 gigs and did live radio and stage appearances. I'm glad Martin is so strong and dedicated to making good Instruments in all categories! Finally found my Forever d28 Custom....

What's the difference between this and the Modern Deluxe D-18?
The bridgeplate and pins and different glue. I think it`s only marketing without effect the tone.
The tone is definitely different but it's not a huge difference. The biggest difference is the Modern deluxe has a VTS torrified top. Also the neck shape is different. I have played both the Modern deluxe and the standard and the Modern deluxe sounds more broken in and balanced and I also prefer the neck shape on the Modern deluxe, but it is 1000$ more. I have the feeling the standard would sound just as good in a few years. Sounds like you got a good one there.
@@robf7213 Thanks, regarding the neck shape, I prefer Marin's with mod low oval or performance taper. I have medium hands and hate a V neck or fat neck. Do you think the MD neck would work with me? Reason I ask is I cannot find one near me to try.

@@WysteriaGuitar I don't think the Modern Deluxe has a fat neck or a V (maybe a soft V ?) but it did feel slightly larger to me but still comfortable. It is asymmetrical so if feels different up the neck. I think it may work best for people that use their thumb over the top. But I have small hands and it was very comfortable to me. Of course, neck shape is such a personal thing you probably want to find one to try or a place that will let you buy and try for a few days or more. Good luck
