Super suit World Record Holder from 2009 Paul Biedermann is in lane 6.
Unfortunately this video doesn't capture Chad le Clos suicide performance from lane 1, you can see him splashing in the bottom corner if you look closely, that won him a silver medal.
Since this swim Sun Yang has been banned for 8 years for a doping offence.

I do not own this video, if it's a breach of copyright please advise and it will be removed. 50m Freestyle Final from the 2016 Rio Olympics Anthony Ervin (2000 Sydney Olympic Champion) battles the reigning Olympic Champ Florent Manaudou from France. Enjoy!
cant imagine how much pressure they have on their shoulders from fans who expecting them to win and personal goal to win sometimes can hinder athletes to perform well and their muscles become stiff
doper won, big shocker
Ervin is just spectacular
Caeleb Dressel is on bottom of screen
Yang is not champion
Okay and am I first?
I hope it’s the same result in Tokyo 2021. Dressel can have the 100 fly. As long as King Kyle goes back to back.
No chance, Dressel is gonna dominate tokyo 2021.
@@JohnLee-me3vg really ? we will see sport.
@@andrewthomas8737 I need to remember to return to this after the olympics!
@@JohnLee-me3vg no problem mate 😊🇦🇺
@@JohnLee-me3vg well, the moment has come! Dressel won 🥇 😁
This proves that even top swimmers cannot keep straight-armed windmill style in full length of 100m. High elbow and reasonable glide prevails.
it’s not a practical technique to carry over longer distances then a 50
Have you seen Dressel...he is fastest in the world in the 100 and he doesn’t do high elbow he has a pretty straight recovery, a but more controlled than the typical windmill tho also Fred Bousquet has a rlly cool technique
@@trenthieber726 his stroke looks straight because he has a high hip rotation and bend angle.
@@trenthieber726 ruclips.net/video/DoA-FCqlC8A/видео.html shows Dressel did high elbow in most of the strokes. Although the whole arm is very low during the recovery, due to the fast body rotation, the arm is bent and the elbow is higher than the hand.
eamon sullivan? stefan nystrand? top swimmers definitely can and have been successful with a straight arm technique in the 100m it just doesn't suit everybody
What about le clos he was killing it
dude only filmed the middle lanes because he assumed that's where all the action would be. Had to chuckle a little bit when at the end of the first lap you could see chad blast a way.
first
Interesting to see that Manuel takes one breath on her right side 0:08 and then only breathes on her left the rest of the race
AWESSSSSSSSSOOOOOOMMMMMMEEEEEEE CLOSEUP FRAME THNKS
