The indentations on the sides are to reduce the shockwave entering the Bunker. The round pipes are exhaust pipes leading out of the bunker. Bunker had a control tower on top which was blown up. The rest of the bunker is fully intact. Bunker was also a fuel factory and assembly point. This bunker is not far from Le Coupole. Biggest bunker of WWII

1.47 Cossacks in German service is a very interesting subject actually. Many Cossacks were against communism and from 1942 were integrated in some German Units. You can of course imagine the treatment they received in Russia after the war. Many fled to the US and other countries after the war. Some Cossacks only admitted being Cossacks after the USSR fell apart. That's how afraid they were.

I have found this batch of pictures just recently and could not wait to share it with you all. Some pictures have very unclear writing on them and that means that the exact setting for those is also unclear. There are many pictures of Mussolini's liberation out there but maybe you have not seen these yet.

Not so many pictures of Tigers… it was claimed in one documentary (forget which one) that there were only about 20 Tigers that were operational at any one time on the Eastern front.. but an operational Tiger could destroy a battalion or raze a town to the ground.. it was awesome..
