    Her dress and veil were awful. Why does everyone always talk about her great “style”? I don’t see any evidence of great style. Her dress looked like a nightgown and her veil would have looked much better if it had been elbow length. She is dancing with John wearing his jacket so she’s obviously cold. Didn’t she or her dress designer think about designing some sort of wrap, jacket, cape or SOMETHING for her to wear when it got chilly?

    Must be a great film. I haven't been able to watch it yet, it's a bit elusive. So grateful for these stills. Edith Head never disappoints! What a great talent she had. She has stated that people only seem to ask her about dressing the great female stars but she liked designing for the male ones as well. Did she mention Alan Ladd, I think so. 👗

    This is exactly the style that Jackie was reported as saying she would have chosen for herself, but her father-in-law micro-managed practically every aspect of that wedding, down to the dress, which she always said made her feel like she was wearing a lampshade. So glad that JFK Jr. & Caroline were able to pull this off & have the PRIVATE wedding they deserved.

    • @Curious2Know2
      @Curious2Know2 2 месяца назад

      My reading indicates it was JFK who wanted the poofy wedding dress she wore, although old Joe Kennedy did micro-manage the wedding, since he paid for it.

      @babycakes1402 …Jackie died in 1994, by the time JFK Jr. married in 1996, she had been dead 2yrs, so it couldn’t have been Jackie saying that she would have chosen this type of dress for herself. Jackie also married JFK in 1953, dresses like this weren’t in fashion. Whyyyyy do people lie on the internet🤦🏻‍♀️

    • @lisamarielund6292
