I was at a local restaurant in Canada last week, a man walked in and sat down, he was clearly known by the waitresses. She went over and spoke with him immediately.... then my heart was broken.... the waitresses asked why she hadn't seen him and his wife recently, he said she died in May,it was sudden... but he smiled as he spoke about her.. he was truly blessed to have had her in his life. As we left i spoke with the waitresses and asked if i could pay his bill....it was nice to be able to make his first night back out to his regular place a happy night. It was only a small gesture, but i hope it made him smile...
