I have viewer who still playing on a i5-2400 or similar and a GTX 750 or AMD variants. I consider first person shooters actually need 60fps because it's normally high pace gaming

The steps to install GPU drivers, Nvidia or AMD or Intel are the same. Download the driver from the website. Install. Done.

To the quantity of time i install those ARC GPU 😆. I never encountered an issue with any of these. I actually encountered more issues with AMD GPU 😆

I'm leaning towards a yes, but i cannot guarantee it. I know the game is quite light to play. The good thing is the game is free, so you can at least try. I don't have a laptop with those specs so i really cannot try it, but you can. 😆

@@RespawnPC I don't really know. My friend just sold it to me. It's lying around in his house for a long time along with the i5 2500 CPU because he already had a better PC so that deal was a win win for me. Now back to the GPU. It's an NVIDIA and the ports have a mini HDMI , DVI, and a VGA. I'm actually confused with these older GPU's because there's alot of them in the internet. And I haven't seen a mini HDMI port before in a GPU. I'm just new at building PC's and just following tips from youtubes and some PC building groups from facebook.

Mini HDMI, that's inconvenient and really uncommon 😂 you'll need an adapter mini HDMI to HDMI.

Yeah, I don't know why the RX5700 is doing so bad...really weird. That's what I consider REAL minimum requirement, 1080p, 30FPS (60FPS for PVP shooter), FSR depending on which version it's between Performance and Balance, because some FSR Performance make the game so ugly, it's not enjoyable. I'll use FSR, DLSS or XeSS when it doesn't or barely affect the visual quality (or render it better). Same goes for Frame Generation, if it creates artifacts or distortion on image quality, I'm not using it. And lastly, I always turn off Motion Blur when the option is present. Other then that, thanks, always appreciate good comments.

I'm currently doing Silent Hill proposed minimum requirements. Arc will come after. Ragnarok i don't have the game yet.

@@RespawnPC i hope arc battllemage gpu improve this arc lineup and hopefully they provide a gd midrange gpu like 4060 or 4060ti or 7600 or 6700xt like . I hope they release this gpu in january . Otherwise new rx 8000 series and rtx 5000 series can take over.

You're probably right. I don't remember exactly because I test many games with so many GPUs and that video starts to date in my memory, but it seemed to be a bottleneck lol. I'm trying to test at 1080p minimum, I don't go anymore at 720p. From Steam DB, the majority play games at 1080p. And at 720p, it put more strain on the CPU, therefore, your CPU needs to be more powerful than playing at 1080p. Making testing even more bothersome. My guess for dx11 is it should be, your GTX 650 doesn't support dx12. So you're either on dx10 (I'll be surprised) or more probably on dx11.

I usually do so with an Intel GPU. But in Wukong in particular, FSR was giving better results.

The GPU definitely can, but what is your CPU and how much memory do you have?

CPU ok, memory ok, GPU...at 1440p...at medium....to get 60fps. No unfortunately. The GTX 1080 can't even reach that, so the GTX 1070 for sure is not. The gtx1080 at medium at 1080p has a hard time to stay at 60fps. Sorry. You can definitely play, but need to lower your standard.

I completely agree. It's hard to find a good game these days. And one without bugs, good story and good looking. We cannot ask those 3 things anymore for games... sadly.

@@RespawnPC So, yeah..... turns out i am special and i had my gpu planted in the x4 pcie lanes slot istead of the x16 one. after changing it, it now runs at 50-60 fps just fine. sorry about that

That's how games should be made. If so few ppl can play because your game requirements are so high, you'll make less money. Good example is Alan Wake 2 which requires a GPU that supports Mesh Shader. Meaning anyone with lower gen the a GTX 1660 can't play. Even if a GTX 1080 is more powerful, was giving horrible performance. Also limiting the number of ppl buying the game.

Maybe to a point, but I like new technology, new processes in games like RT/PT etc. Alan Wake II looks amazing, Black Myth looks amazing, Cyberpunk full PT is incredible. There comes a point where innovation needs to win out. TL isnt a remarkable looking game, probably by design...just like WOW to run on everything. We need games like Alan Wake II to push the envelope

I agree with you. But I meant, ok sure, integrated new tech in your game, but give the option to turn it off for ppl who can't. Maximising your sales by broadening the possible demographic.

@@RespawnPC Pretty sure devs can only do so much... IDK the process of reducing graphical fidelity but im pretty sure its easier said than done. Not only are you spending the dev time to do all the bells and whistles you have to develop to turn everything off...Co developing for both extremes cant be cheap/easy. Far as poly count not sure how much can be done about that and thats a big chunk of performance...You would literally be changing game assets

You're definitely right. But yes they can do that much, it all depends on the time allowed to do it. Shareholders or greedy CEO will push the game as soon as possible to get money. Not leaving devs properly finishing games. But I get your points. And you're also so right 👍

On top of that, more and more games now require SSD and at the same time need more storage because the game becomes more and more heavy on space needed.

Not sure which i7, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem, the issue is the GT1030. You probably can at 720p lowest settings and lowest difficulty on a bug planet. But i highly recommend you upgrade your GPU.

Definitely, unfortunately I don't have a laptop with that GPU, you should expect something a bit better than a GTX 1650

It will definitely run, though, the 8g of memory should be considered to upgrade to 16g. I don't have a laptop with an RTX2050 so i cannot test. But the lower GPU can play, I'm sure it will. Just your RAM, at 8g is a bit low.

Unfortunately not really. At 720p lowest settings on easiest difficulty on the desert bug planet you'll get something in the mid 20 FPS. And every time it starts to heat up in the amount of bugs, you'll go down to the 10 FPS. Just changing your GPU will make the game playable.
