Mike Covell I have heard this song before as The Harlem Globetrotters theme on occasion but for some reason my brain couldn't put it together. :p
Funny you should mention that. Watching the Globetrotters doing that circle pass routine may have been the first time I actually heard the song also. Small world.

Wow I just had a nostalgia trip I saw this guy wayyyy back in 2005 while I was on a school trip over there, never expected for him to be on youtube.
It never ceases to amaze that creative people can make wonderful music using the most humble of instruments like the washboard. I grew up in the deep south of the US where washboard musicians where popular still 30 or so years back. This video is a treat!!!
