Boomerang & Brown Cow at Lake Louise
Nothing compares to the view along Upper Boomerang at Lake Louise on a bluebird day!
Then we ski Brown Cow (formerly Brown Shirt) which typically has good coverage even when you'll find rocks elsewhere. It's like a bowl where all the snow blows into, but unfortunately it gets tracked out quickly because the secret is out, lol.

Skiing C Gully at Lake Louise
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.11 месяцев назад
This area JUST opened, so the top third is a bit sketchy as you pick your way through exposed rocks. Most rocks are invisible until you're right there, so heed caution until we get more snow (probably next year, lol). C Gully is my favorite Alphabet Chute to ski at Lake Louise. It's a double black run in the back bowls and has alot of neat terrain humps & features to play with.
Lake Louise: Corridor, ER 3, Powder Pockets & Upper Alley
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.11 месяцев назад
The views off Corridor are some of the finest you'll ever see, especially on a bluebird day like this. Heavenly! Always good times dropping into the chalky snow off the cornice of ER3. Since it's a low-snow year, everyone has to pick their way through rocks at the top, so it's a bit slow up there right now. Also I sped up the trees & Upper Alley (under the lift) because the tree traverse is kin...
Skyline from Summit Chair at Lake Louise

Skyline is the short & sweet ski run with the best views high above Lake Louise. This day just happened to be one of the nicest inversions too, the thick layer of cloud covering the valley. It looked so gloomy & overcast at the lodge!
Lake Louise - West Bowl - Skiing the "Scenic Route"
Просмотров 16 тыс.3 года назад
First time exploring the West Bowl at Lake Louise! We took the scenic route, also known as the "grand traverse". There is more traversing than skiing to reach the boundary, but the scenery on the other side is really beautiful.

Lake Louise - North Cornice
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.5 лет назад
Searching far & wide for fresh tracks on Ladies Day. The 2-ski wide traverse to the cornice was quite thrilling, you couldn't use your poles because they would sink. This was the 1st time I've skied something this steep & deep at the same time, so there's lots of giggling and some profanity too.
1 good rip on the 1st day of Ladies Day 2019
Просмотров 1776 лет назад
2 minutes of awesomeness from the opening day of the 2019 Ladies Day program from my Animals group. Top to bottom run of Grizzly Bowl (#34 on the trail map) which is just to the left of Top of The World chair on the front side.
Sunshine Village - Bye Bye Bowl & Cat Track Corner
Просмотров 5 тыс.6 лет назад
After taking the Great Divide chair, head left all the way to the boundary and follow it down. Bye bye bowl is far larger than it appears on the map. It feels remote because you can't see much of the resort from over here. It's normally a powder hounds paradise, but the 102 cm of snow from the past week is now getting a little crusty, so luckily there is a nice groomed strip to rip! Keep your s...
Sunshine Village - North Divide & South Pocket

Skiing the continental divide at Sunshine Village off the the Great Divide Chair. There is usually a snow fence in the South Pocket section, but there is so much snow this season they removed the fence which left this cute chalky spine for me to play with. To continue back to the chair, take the green run down (you'll see the sign at the very end of the video).
Lake Louise - Top of the World to Summit Platter
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.6 лет назад
In order to reach the Summit Platter, you'll need to take "Top of the World" chair first. There are several ways to reach the Platter, so enjoy this zippy POV ski through the trees. When approaching the Platter from the left, be aware the entry is subtle - it's easy to miss it and ski right on by. Then you'll have to go all the way back down and take the chair again.

Lake Louise - Outer Limits
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.6 лет назад
When conditions are great, Outer Limits are fantastic! It tends to get wind crusted, but it's glorious with fresh snow. I also use this trail as an "out" when I reach the summit top and the light is too flat to descend the gullies on the back side safely - you can always follow the fenceline here to get back down. (Since this is the highest point in all Lake Louise Resort, it sits in the clouds...
Lake Louise - Big 7 & Kiddies
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.7 лет назад
Skiing Eagle Ridge 7 in the back bowls of Lake Louise. This line is mighty challenging, the drop in on Big 7 is very steep and the fall line is long so you need to be on point! It's best to ski here with friends so someone is around to help when things go awry. ;) Kiddies is the bottom section around the boulders & trees. The final section is like a narrow rollercoaster track - point the skis s...

Took a bad fall on eagle creek, slammed off a ledge 3 feet up and was unconscious for 30 seconds roughly, my buddy saw it all
It's fun but it hurts to
Heading to Lake Louise tomorrow … our last visit was in 1995. I looked over a number of your videos but this 60 plus year old fart can’t ski like you guys lol. I will be sure to get up to the peak to take a few video clips of the scenery and slide back down lol. What GoPro settings do you use above the tree line? I get mixed results using my GoPro 9 below the tree line skiing out east but I hope to do better in the big mountains out west.
Brings back fond memories
Very beautiful indeed !! Glory be to God Hallelujah 🙌
One of the reasons sunshine isn’t my favourite is sooooo many flat spots where you need speed built up, I love to fly down a mountain, not push my way accross it
Fun run. I did a similar video of the same hill, love the POV top to bottom videos.
ALMOST like being there.
Thanks muchly , been there, done that.....too old and far away now, and bad knees
Haha hilarious that was me I was “that guy” lol kiddies is a super fun run!
The Olympic downhill team was training on this run last April and it was great
I love this run, especially weekends!
This is by far my favourite mountain at sunshine runs are fantastic the snow is extremely good and the chairlifts are pretty fast
This is 100% my favourite run in the world, Eagle Creek. That narrow middle section is flat out, brilliant. I've skied in Canada, US, Austria, Australia and New Zealand (north and south) and Sunshine Village tops the list imo.
Easy one!
Thank you for not having your camera pointed down at your skis like most go pro videos. Perfect angle, great videos.
I remember skiing this run. i tripped and flew 10 feet into the air and almost hit a tree
I'm Skiing that, next time I'm there :) Love my seasons pass .:)
I hope you make more vids this winter! I live in Vancouver now, but when I lived in Calgary, one day at Sunshine you skied past me, I was all like, "That's the you tube girl in the leopard print pants! LoL.
I Usually Ski just Green Circle and the Odd Blue Square runs. Boomerang blue Run looks fun though. I'm not Comfortable sking Black Diamond runs. But I do still enjoy the Senery or Sun shine or Lake Louise.
you missed the best part, the glades!
Nope,South Chutes Far Side!
nice. at least you didnt get hurt. this weekend's going to be good at the lake.
Cool video keep them coming! :D Im going to banff in 2 days! First time im going on the west to ski!
lol @ trying to jump over the stream
I used to live in Calgary. Watching your videos brings back good memories of Lake Louise and Sunshine. Thankyou so much! :-)
This is a GREAT long run. I think it's important for beginning skiers to be able to build their skill base by doing summit to base runs (helps them cruise and work on better turn technique), and what also impresses me about Lake Louise, is that there are green backside bowl runs as well.
Is this the South Divide Run? Or Bye Bye Bowl?
As much as I LOVE Tahoe, it ain't Alberta.
Standish looks REALLY nice, like a great place to just cruise. My friend, whom I've taught to ski would love Standish.
I love the format of your videos. It makes it so easy to research the resort ahead of time!
Thanks, that's what they're for!
cool ish:(
Taking my fam to the Banff area next week! Your videos are really helpful for where to take the kids. Thx!
Thanks, that's what they're for!
Thanks so much for posting.. will be there next week
This video is getting me in the mood for my trip to Banff in January from the UK!
Thank you for including the route via the resort's trail map at the beginning of your videos. This is helpful to me - I'll be at Lake Louise and Sunshine Village in February for the first time.
Thanks, that's what they're for!
Can't wait until the 2017-18 season begins.....
Yes... 1 more day to go! ;)

Favorite run on Lookout by far!

Sweet I ave been waiting for upload for a while

Downhill Skier same
I've been skiing since grade 4 and now i'm in grade 9 and all this time skiing at castle mountain Alberta i'm finally getting bored at castle so now next winter i'm going to try to make it to sunshine and i'm so exited because it looks fun where you ski.
I hope you make it there this season! It's such a fantastic place to ski.
at 5:40 make the right into the tight trail!
Next time I will! I've been down there once - it was all rock and I had to climb out. There's enough snow now so it should work this time of year.
Agreed. I always thought "Eagle Creek" was the creek itself this is just the cat track beside it. Useful for going around the cliff though, pop out and pop back in.
Agreed! Definitely the best part of the run! Especially the big drop.....if there is enough snow haha. Awesome video though. I miss Sunshine and Banff but this takes me back
ah i love living in Alberta the snow the mountains all you need for an awesome life
I bet... I would love to live there.
WallyGames your Canadian to
Going there in 3day can't wait used to go on hill skiing in Quebec ...
Need money too... but I agree with every word..
I can't wait for February!! :D
I can't Wait for February!! i will go on this run, first thing in sunshine Village :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
This is one of my favorite runs. Eagle Creek gets crowded on weekends, so use your slalom skills wisely ;) Enjoy your trip to Sunshine!
I go to eagle creek lots. There is a really nice tree area that I usually ride through when there aren’t many rocks.
That run looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing
+Shaun Millican It's such a nice run with lots of variety. :)
I was a beginner skier this year and was so excited to get right into it but after a few hill days I got cocky and then broke my knee. I just wanted to say that I really enjoy the videos you've posted and I've been living vicariously through them in a way as I recover. Thanks for sharing.
+Jennifer G Oh dear, sorry to hear about your knee! I hope you're healing well so far. Glad you enjoy the videos. :)
totally agree with u. sometimes it can be quite dangerous for beginners to accidentally get into a bumpy blue or steep run. the signs were marked pretty small and confused on the mountains. I wish more ppl like Danielle could post videos drew the routes at the beginning of the videos so that we will have a clear thought when we get on to those mountains. thanks Danielle. please keep posting. and i would love to see u put some comments about how the terrain is while u r skiing. that would be so helpful for our beginners.
Thanks! I'm happy to hear you found it useful. I also wish more people made a map to show where they're going. It really helps 1st time visitors in their planning. I'll be hitting the hills again in a few weeks and will be posting more vids. Stay tuned! :)
Hope you recovered well Jennifer, sorry about your accident. I fractured my arm a few years ago. It was my first major injury from skiing in over 30+ years on the slopes. ANYWAY, as a long-time skier, former racer and an instructor, what I tell people is that when you feel yourself getting cocky, take another lesson. That gives you a good dose of humility and keeps you more grounded from taking cocky risks. Even I take lessons every once in awhile myself, so I can increase my confidence on expert terrain. It DEFINITELY helps. Maintaining control is SO critical when out there, ESPECIALLY for beginners. Hope you went back to it and didn't give up! Cheers.
Nice skiing video you should post more and maybe add some music come check out my ski edits :)
Sick! +1 I just put a Sunshine village ski edit up on my channel as well! You should check it you if you like.
