I am getting great range with 15.3" antenna and Baofeng G11s. My buddy lives about 4 miles and we can talk good enough to carry on a conversation. Little static but about 80-90% copy.

To make sure the antenna is functioning well, it wouldn't hurt to get a half decent SWR meter. You can gauge how efficient (or even detrimental) an antenna is for that radio. Something I do on all new antennas I get for my HT's and mobile radios.

Sir, it is been over 9 million in the past 3 years alone.... The national guard used to be the State militias bwfore the federal government nationalized them via a federal law... a law that i do not think would stand constutional scrutiny if challanged and put before the supreme court. I do not like being in conflict with the federal government. I wish it were not necessary to do, but as they will not defend the borders and enforce immigrational law in good faith, it is necessary for States to defend themselves. Hopefully, it will force action from the federal government, and will enforce immigration law and provide security to the Citizens and States. Security is one of the only reasons we have a federal government.
