Bob Pryor's Tribute Song for Eric Carr
Eric Carr was a much loved member of KISS, but 15 years before playing with KISS he was drumming and singing in a New York City band called The Cellarmen. Former Cellarmen lead guitarist Bob Pryor wrote a tribute song for Eric in 2001, which pays homage to Eric's musical legacy. The video features a heartfelt performance by Bob and provides a glimpse into the history of Eric Carr and The Cellarmen.

I'm not sure about that, in one interview he said that he drank tequila and coffee in the morning and after one of his solos were cut off, he ate brownies, many brownies 🤔 i love him but he was not perfect x.x

Interesting video, I mean, he is not wrong, the comments were very spot on and i'm guessing that night he confronted paul by "you're going to replace me" , which they did but what if they didn't? I mean, they only replaced him because of his cancer treatment and told him repeatedly to not to play so he can recover himself, but yet eric insisted,of course he wanted to play but yet he didn't care of his health as long as he played with kiss. I think they should have stopped everything before revenge but, i guess everything was done and there was no turning back :( But regardless ,in the end, it was in that time Paul's decision,it was his band and several songs were composed by him :/ don't get me wrong i love eric but yeah, let's remember,he was a hired drummer and if the boss (in that case was paul because gene was in other things) doesn't offered him another performances outside of kiss ( it was on his contract that eric couldn't play with themes related to kiss in external ways ), he gotta accept it,like it of not regardless of egos. In my opinion ,Eric never wanted to accept his role as a hired drummer and i mean in general. I read the contract and yes,it was very restrained, one section indicated that he might compose but doesn't mean that his composing would be 100% accepted, so if eric knew he was restrained in every way, why did he insisted to write or compose even that his work was going to be rejected anyway several times? Maybe he thought that he could change that but we know that G and P are controlling people and yeah,It's their band, like it or not , they can accept or reject songs that fit with kiss musical style. Eric also should have realized he was there just to play, not to contribute unless P and G told him. I stil love eric ,he was an amazing drummer ,and thanks to him, kiss gained more popularity in the 80s,his appearences on kiss unoficial fan conventions made him approachable, and reply to fan letters is wow, outstainding, a kiss member reply you! 😢 But i wanted to coment from both sides, from eric and paul. I always found comments that paul was the bad guy and eric the victim but never wrote about Paul's side. In the end it was nothing personal, just business.😅 i read comments on other kiss blogs saying that eric was supposed to be paul's drummer on his solo tour, but none of them have the source, if this is true , maybe i could change my perspective of paul's decission. if somebody know this source pelase reply this comment. Thank you for reading my long comment 😅😅

wow! this is the best portrayal of Vinnie in the fewest words I have heard after watching many hours of videos on this topic...it's spot on! Some artists can become dictators in their creative pursuits and make band members feel like workers but ultimately a band is a team effort and to strike that balance is not easy for some creative souls, which is why many bands split up...

I was privileged to have spent some time with Mark St. John. We were neighbors in Garden Grove California where he lived down the road from Gary Street. A great personality but at the time, we were into the nitty gritty (If you know what I mean). I remember seeing him in his garage grinding away on his guitars which led to me giving him a grinder which he needed, (Sorry Dad, Mark St. John needed it [White Lion, Kiss!]). I remember one night we got pretty wired and we climbed a gated apartment building and took a dip in the facility's jacuzzi. With excitement rushing through us as we scaled the gates, and then eased in the jacuzzi, I enquired what was it like to have played with Kiss. He responded with "how would you like to be around a bunch of New Yorkers" as we laughed intently. On another occasion, we were hanging out in his garage where guitars and shiny albums were crowded onto his garage walls. I was awe struck at this Kramer electric guitar that I couldn't keep my eyes off and asked if I could take it down from its pedestal. As a gentle giant that Mark was, he concurred and plug it into an amplifier, and I started jamming. I was crazy about this electric Kramer which played like a jewel. I played a rift I had created in the years that I had played guitar and he asked me to play it again. To my astonishment, Mark admired my rift asked me to forge on and to finish the song. Till this day, I haven't completed it. As I was chomping away on the guitar, Mark handed me a guitar magazine. He swiped through the pages and stopped on a page where Eddie Van Halen was holding the same guitar I held in my hand. He looked at me smiled and went on doing what he was doing. Apparently, all the famed rockers knew Mark and partied hard with him. From the likes of Motley Crue to Van Halen that came over to bark at the moon till dawn. I know he had regrets and I'm sure he would have done more and accomplished many feats if it wasn't for the arthritis. It was a pleasure to make you acquaintance Mark St. John. God bless and I know you are jamming on the other side. Btw.......KNAC rocks!!!

Vinne tript on his own feet. He had the talent and the technical skills but he was not a team player and he had great difficulties i knowing when to play and when not to. If he had put more attention on what was needed in the songs regarding leads instead of trying to be the fastest gun slinger around it would have worked out much better.
