Makes so much sence that Kerry was just stumming and singing along to the track & the band was playing the base beats for the song while aslo waiting... we see this over and over in real life how theres a member of a band that stands out so much that people worship them (Silverhand) & then others (Kerry) that fans also see is a force to be reckon' with when it comes to vocals, creativity, stage presencesm all that... Samurai wouldn't of made it without Johnny, and Nancy *it was a time when if you were a unprotected "product" wiht no commercially successful influance then you were a 100% piriah to medias & the general public, your career as a band HAS ZERO chances if you couldn't actually advertise your message ect.* So, Kerry's saving his BFFL again with this rendition of a "waitin on the real talent song" and honestly, its just as good when fleshed out if not better. It represents both characters to a T! Also, the different music generes that were hottest at those different times... Kerry is the best character, I think. They NEED to flesh *boat scene anyone* YUM! LOL out this character more and more and even with the MOD of extra relationship romance shyt I don't know, but the persons video I watched didn't even mention Kerry's "extra" texts and hanging out and new small, but obviously worth it, sidequests available. With Judy you get to have like 2 sidequests when you watch the sunset with her and all this lovey dovey *bisexual panic at breaking point* BUT... I hope there is Kerry extra stuff. I'd argue that male V's B-E-S-T and most rewarding romance is with Kerry. I honestly, did not play male V. For a long time. I couldn't! ... it was, cool, but... it was like I was missing something HUGE while being Panams little bytch *shrugs* its the truth. Then, Kerry BURST on the scene, and I KNEW why my darn CORPO Male V was even exsisting within my save files. The BOAT? OM GOOG G. LOVE-IT. Also with Kerry and Johnny being so close and Kerry almost clinging to male V because of this... is pretty fasinating. To be so vulnerable and open and sleeping with Kerry KNOWING that Kerry and Johnny KNOWS whats GOING ON! ITS SO WEIRD! AND I'M HERE FOR IT! LOL = )... Its the perfect dynamic. And the whole "can Johnny see us?" - Kerry before V grabs him face for a KISS says this but says he doesn't give a F really... - This is HALLARIOUS! lol kiss me who cares Kerry! This song makes me understand how Kerry loved Johnny, whished he could be so Edgerunner-ish as Johnny, but they both knew that his calling was music. Thats why Johnny kind of passed the torch when he said thos last words to Kerry before he left to board the hellocoptor with Rouge after his last gig. They loved eachother, and I think Kerry loved him in a some father-figure way, or atleast a person he thought was while they were all waiting for Johnny to actually show the heck up and sing... he was singing his own lyrics boucing i nhis head as to make the crowd stay cool & (its obvious) wait on Johnny Silverhand to show the F up to the gig... late... again. To the point he had his own freakin' solo single to this song, born of waiting and taking creative liberty ;)

Wish we got more of Kerry's solo stuff, that'd be fuckin shimra. Call me a gonk, I don’t love this song. Doesn't mean I don’t love my beautiful bastard boyfriend, just can't help compare it to Johnny's final version and it doesn't hit the same way to me, but I'm sure there'd be other Eurodyne hits I'd dig a lot more.

I don't know why people like this song more than the Refused version. It feels too... sanitized, mainstream. It doesn't really seem to fit with the other Samurai songs. Which does make sense, since this was after Kerry went solo.

I love how Johnny's version feels like he's going to war, which aligns with the fact that he's a war vet and stormed Arasaka, while Kerry's version feels like he's the last one left standing and has to strike out on his own, which is exactly what he does after Johnny dies.

The distant echo of this song upon taking control of Johnny for the first time backstage, and the feeling of post-metempsychosis confusion was such awesome narrative engineering. I don't think anyone's gonna replicate that one anytime soon.
