It was termed as "Hindustan" by persians, the whole American Continent was founded in search of the land of India pakistan doesnt have history, only logical way for historians of Pakistan to create history was to use India's own empires or the invaders like mughals. @@feroxseneca8997 I saw a preview/review of it on TV in 1985 or '86, and was intrigued by it. But wasn't able to get it on video until 1988 or so. When I was already nostalgic for that era. Like I say, I watched it a lot. It's such an experience.

@@josephcobbs1029 I stayed in Yangon for about 18 months after the coup and travelled pretty far afield while I was there: a restaurant owner in Nyaung Shwe told me that I was the first foreigner he had seen in two years! You almost definitely won’t get accidentally exploded by a bomb or picked up by the military for ridiculous BS (though some do). There are checkpoints everywhere along the highways, so the military isn’t going to let you go anywhere really dangerous. In my opinion, reports of the danger there are exaggerated. A big part of me misses it and wishes that I had stayed.
