I was lucky enough to live across the street from Joe Pisano in the mid to late 70’s and they were quite the cool neighbors to have. I got to go with them out to Irwindale one time as part of the crew, which was very fun for a 16 year-old, and another time while I was mowing the lawn Joe just asked me if I wanted to go for a ride in his silver Ferrari after he finished washing it, and I of course said yes (his wife Dee also had a matching silver Ferrari). He took me down our residential street in Rossmoor/Los Alamitos, with a 25 mph speed limit, and in first gear he must have taken it up over 50 mph or so before shifting into second, I wasn’t looking at the speedo, but it was very fast and I was impressed. When he sort-of slowed down I remember looking over at him and asking him how fast this thing would go, and he matter-of- factly said to me, “It’ll go as fast as I want it to go”. That’s the coolest thing I’ve ever heard anyone say in person, and it was the way he was so calm and sure of himself, not in a bragging way, but he knew he could make it go as fast as he wanted it to go through gearing changes and engine modifications. Joe saying that with us speeding down our residential street was almost as cool as the first time you see Sean Connery in Dr No at the Chemin de fer table, when he says “Bond, James Bond”, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, it was that kind of experience, and I’ll never forget it. Joe used to take his Ferrari out with their friends that had other sports cars in the middle of the night onto the 405 Fwy down between Fountain Valley and Westminster, along with radios to make sure the freeway was clear of traffic, and they would open their cars up and see what they could do. They also used to stay up all night tearing the funny car down and putting it back together, and one time they fired the car up in the middle of the night, and even though the garage door was closed, it woke me up and I’m sure everyone else in the neighborhood. I’m guessing that someone complained about that because they only did it that one time. Those are some of my memories from living across the street from Joe and Dee Pisano. They were great neighbors, I miss seeing them, and now that I’m 65 I realize how lucky I was to have such good neighbors around me.

+Garrett Craig true the Hellcat boast impressive numbers. Unfortunately person can buy a Mustang for half the price throw some exhaust and a tune and beat or at least give the Hellcat a run. My Mustang is around a second ahead of that car.. It could never make up that second in a 1/4!! The Hellcat on DR's would be a different race.. My car will be coming out in a few days Roushcharged... I am running more boost than the Stage 2 Roush Kit that produces 727hp. I am building what I like to call a Stage 3 kit.. Bigger injectors, more boost... The stage 2 kit is a proven Hellcat Killer and I will still have money in my pocket.. Score Ford.. We all have our favorites.. We post the videos for everyone to watch and comment on.. I do agree people sometimes talk trash in such a way that it infuriates you... We all love fast cars.... Just because the Mustang is superior in every way does not mean you have to drive one!!! Just kidding.. It's all in what you like!!

biggest problem with the hellcat is that it has all that horsepower but it can't control it. you could hear that guy spinning a good bit down the track
