Watching a video claiming 'anxiety is lying to you' ironically increased my anxiety. But when I considered the opposite view - that anxiety doesn't lie - my anxiety vanished. It seems trusting my own feelings is more calming than doubting them.

Finally someone said it. We need to stop denigrating people just for using proper english or caring about topics that require brainpower. Forced "equality" is a disease.

Honestly I really think you've hit the nail on the head. I've often found that myself and other men have trouble sharing their problems because it often feels like we're not competent to deal with what we're challenged with and that we are burdening someone else with it. I have personally benefited the most from someone telling me what I should keep doing and it's benefits, as well as the initial steps to take to improve my situation/problem. Often taking a small step to solve a bigger problem feels massively rewarding because it's achieving a purpose. Bravo mate 👏

Very good, and thought provoking video. This made me think how the upside of status is that it can be understood abstractly. They can be understood by the group, by others, and they can be understood by those who haven't achieved those certain signifiers themselves. As people develop, all they have are the generalized, externally understood standards/theories. All they have is the sight of the horizon, and knowing that a good man is beyond it that they cannot currently see as they are. It can be understood at a distance, abstracted from themselves. The downside is that one can achieve some of these signs yet with a significance only abstracted from themselves. It only means something to the group, it exists only as a generalization, not a particularization. They have the horizon in their hands, which only they can see beyond while the general mass can only see that they hold the precipice. Two men can have money, wives, children, and houses. Yet one can secretly beat his wife, abuse his children, and not be of any quality despite having succeeded in the environment. Unless there is some complex social organization in which there is no personal distance required for interactions, which our atomized, large, and subpar shared cultural identifications of human nature certainly lack, there will always be a need for impersonally understood social standards. Not that there can't be better standards, or more shared personal understanding than contemporarily for many people, but this just illustrates the problem of not keeping an intuitive sense of meaning throughout your life. Of replacing life with rules, mandates, abstractions, orders, hollow commands, 1 and 0s. To become an externality. An object. A resource.
