+Robert Bean The 17 drivers definitely make a difference, as does the 12" sub. For not a lot more money, the 2000 is a great buy. It'll be overkill for some, though, so I'm glad Turbosound offered a smaller model in the 1000.

+Dual Mic Records Unfortunately, I don't remember. I think we tweaked the Voicelive quite a bit, so it wasn't a complete preset.

+Tom Pillion So which one did you end up buying? I went to GC yesterday and tried out SA220 and L1 and I found L1 to have too much treble to my liking. I am still debating to see if I should return my Fishman Loudbox artist and get the SA220.

I liked the fact that the SA220 had some effects and could take two mics (if I remember), because I mic my acoustic guitar. However, I liked the overall sound of the L1 and I liked it having a little more bottom...maybe not enough for keyboard but certainly enough for my acoustic guitar. So, I ended up with kind of a Cadillac solution...I bought the L1 but then supplemented it with the T-1 Tonematch, which gives me the ability to hook up to 4 inputs in any combination of mic or line inputs, and it also has some preset settings for various acoustic guitars and mics. One rationale is that I have extra channels if I want to have a guest musician plug in with me, L1 and SA220, by themselves, are about the same price, but the addition of the T1 jumped the price up a lot. (There are other less expensive mixers out there that I suppose can do the same thing, but I wanted to stay Bose compatible). So far, I have been very pleased with the system and have played over 50 gigs with it and paid for it several times over. One further note: my son has an SA220 and I went to a gig where he used that system with his 4-piece group and it, too, sounded very nice, so I think you really can't go wrong with either solution. Tom Pillion Thank you for the response. L1 model II is seems like an awesome PA but since I am just doing this as a hobby I can't justify spending so much. So today returned my Fishman Artist and got the SA220. I will mostly be playing at home and some parties here and there. Fingers crossed - I hope I dont have to look for another amp/PA.

My guess is that you will be very happy with the SA220, and should you decide to take your playing beyond just a hobby, it will still serve you well.

BTW, I don't have an L-1 model II. I have the least expensive one, the L-1 compact...just augmented it with the T-1 (which I think is included as a standard part of the model II.
