Not always …. In most cases , it’s part of the requirements but not always, their role is beyond who collects money, in the case of an emergency, they are also liable to be reached .. so the contexts matter…

good morning sir. please sir i don't know how you be of a help for me on how to block my account without necessarily going to the bank i just lost my phone yesterday night but i discovered that they have tried to withdraw my money with just bank debit they saw there. i wanted to withdraw some little money from the account this morning only to find out my what is been displaying consistently is that my pin tries has exceeded limit. sir how can you be of a help to me. today and tomorrow is public holidays please help me out if you know the way. here's my link
Ohh oh, so sorry about that... Quickly google what's the USSD code of your bank to block your account with a phone. You can use any phone, a friend, sibling, anyone's phone to do this, follow the instructions they give you and block it. Then when the banks open on Wednesday, you can go there to sort the rest out. You can also get the bank's email (customer care, or fraud reporting - google these) and send them an email with the email you used while opneing your account and request the blockage of the account. Try these two, should help...

My bank statement once saved me from a debtor who claimed he was not owing me. This guy was so good he convinced everyone around him that I was wrong...UNTIL I BROUGHT THE BANK STATEMENT! Case close!!!
