It’s hilarious how many people just happened to meet the Beatles 😂
i was in the air force at Travis AFB near San francisco in 1966 . my buddy from santa barbara called me and said he had something he thought i would be interested in , but i would have to come to SB for the entire weekend . i said ok. when i got ther he told me it was LSd from the Sandoz labs in switzerland . i have no way to verify that but damn iit was the strongest acid i ever took. we were getting ready to trip ,so he went into the bedroom for a minute and then came running out screaming . " get in the car ,NOW" as we were driving he explained that he had the acid in a shirt pocket that he had just taken to the dry cleaners before i arrived. we got to the cleaners and ran up to the counter. a little lady came out as my buddy showed her the numbered receipt and screamed " give me that shirt " pointing to it on the rack . we went back to the car drove up to some rich ladies house in montecito and dropped . the rest is too bizarre to tell .
Sandoz, there is no substitute . 😎
Yeah - Harrison " Remained Spiritual " Lol 🤣🤣🤣 Even when The 2 faced backstabbing hypocrite was having an affair with Ringos wife behind his back ! What a total phoney and pretentious Creep !!!!!!!
You would see a thing or event differently , from a new 2nd perspective , for the first time ; and it made you wonder what you’d been seeing up till then ; and wonder why the two were different , and how that would forever change your life. There was no going back.
That was a good watch - thanks
Never knew Paul had taken acid as early as December '65....In other accounts it is said( by him,and he should know) that he was the very last to try it and only to bond with John when he was baby sitting Llennon on that trip March '67. Interesting
Pushed drugs on the masses how many deaths did they cause.CLEANEST looking druggies you everwill see
lol John Lennon saying lsd is freedom when it almost turned him into syd Barrett is hiralous if he hadn’t tripped with people again that built his confidence he might had never been himself again. It changes the brain and whatever you experience when ur on it just can wreck u as a person completely. George was right when he said if ur truly “hip” u never would do it in the first place. The government uses it to control people we saw what it did to Charles Manson and the cult he made etc
Yeah the Beatles might really be the greatest ROCK band EVER. LIKE…. EVER. TO EVER DO IT. Like if you really grasp everything they did and all of their music. I mean they, R E A L L Y, DID IT. They did it A L L. They said everything and put it all in their music, movies and even their fashion. The immaculate vibes, the fun, the stories, the poetry, ballads, metaphors, love songs, avant garde lyricism, everything, and they influenced something more than a generation, more than music, they made waves of ripples throughout the entire world, the cosmos and the universe, forever eternal. 🧙♂️😲😮Thank you The Beatles. 😎 Thank You.
17:25 🤯 Wheeeeeewwwwww Lennon you really hit the apex pinnacle on that one. 🤌🏿🤙🏿🫶🏿 LOVE IT 💖
13:02 HAHAHAHA I LOVE IT THE GUY IN THE BACK JUST LOOKS LIKE A HAPPY CAMPER 🤣🤣🤣🤣😃😀straight up just looks genuinely glad to be there he said”🙂😏” 😂
I generally had bad trips. I don’t know why but my friends once went to the pub all tripping on California sunshine but I ended up lying under a caravan afraid to move.
Doris days son was terry melcher helter skelter
He was hooked 😅
turn off the fk'n shitty ripoff singers of the beatle songs in the background SHEESH it is horrible
Drug induced music is simply that! it would not have taken place without it, you decide what's real and not! For me, unfortunately, many great jazz players, relied on it, Heroin was drug of choice, a lot of the stuff you hear would not exist without it, Coltrane, Parker, Joe Pass ,Mahavishnu, Miles Davis, all drug induced and the list goes on, I'll just shut up now, I've learned that young people have no patience for history, sad thing, because it tells you where everything you have came from
Mind altering drugs (yes alcohol too) contributed early on to the homeless matter. Bums were hobos, transient types who preferred booze. But the 'hard drug' user have become a permanent fixture and most not straying very far from their roots. Many homeless folks admit that abusive use of drugs account for roughly 90% of their population. George here encountering the first wave of drug derelicts many of whom surely got straightened out.
Yoko is cringe
Good for Paul, calling him out. There's nothing cool about being lax and careless with wording, being nonchalant like that....... Th others knew it, why couldn't Lennon?
George saying, "It's an addiction like any other", after only being there a day is the most privileged shit I've heard him say. I love all the beatles but that was a really dumb take on his part. Did he even ask some of the people why they're there? They may not all be homeless bums. I didn't know he stopped taking LSD after that! The 60's sure were weird, perception stronger than reality. That's still the case nowadays but at least we can recognize it. Just something about that anecdote he gave was really poor, I did not resonate with him calling all those people "bums". If he wasn't a Beatle he would be the same people they are. Kind of a stuck-up "well, they don't do it like I like to, so they must not be doing spirituality correctly".
All of it
The cover songs playing are unbearable
i'm wondering, why is John so critical of Timothy Leary?
The non Beatle musicians are fair but this is all rehashed stuff. Meh
Love the terrible she said cover sung in broken English
I remember reading that after they stopped touring in 1966 it was only a few months later that their appearances(clothes hair etc) changed what for the time was fairly dramatically and the media commented on it, with Lennon's appearance being the most changed.
If I wanted to read something I’d get a book.
They put up with John and Yoko on heroin in the studio, but Paul’s too bossy?!
In some alternate universe they never touched drugs and stayed the 4 mop tops singing she loves you. I wonder what songs they’d make! Really makes you wonder
Only reason i can think he would have yoko around was drugs.. she was 100% his hookup lol
hoffman didnt "invent" LSD to control people
Lennon and Harrison did alot of it
Sounds more like they were given NDA, or MDMA, the love drug. Hilarious!
Once an addict always an addict even when you stop. But every day you quit it gets better.
Whatever happened to LSD? Can you still get it? No, I ain't shopping around, just curious. All you hear about now is Meth and Fentanyl. Are they better?
this also explains Yoko!
Good on Paul, George, John & Ringo for telling it straight. None of anyone’s business, but since they asked, let truth shine-on. People criticise what they don’t understand, then, now, always, end of. Personally, I’m so glad they all dropped…
Took so much acid that Paul turned into a completely different person between September and November 1966
Billy's Here have you guessed
ppl say i am the walrus had nothing to do with LSD25 i love the drug its fun nice eveything goodbye gugucoob \
1000 trips is BS
IKR will never believe John’s revisionist explanation for Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds. If any song was about an LSD experience, it was this song. Who knows what kept him from simply admitting it?
Rumour control, here are the facts, not mere factoids: Paul M. took 5 grams of L, John L. took 5 grams of S, George H. took 5 grams of D and Ringo St. took 0 grams of LSD.
Lsd was profound... But nothing can prepare you for a dmt breakthrough
Thanks! I was wondering the same and didn't have time to research. Apparently, it's been talked about a lot since the release of Get Back (along with the dubious claim that he yelled at Sean so loud he got hearing loss.) Just like he said he didn't do heroin for too long, there's also some (sometimes malicious) sources saying that he was a junkie until he died and Yoko is still -injecting- herself. I'll trust your research for the time being hahaha Some feedback: Please, have the text displayed in a larger font in the middle-right or left of the screen. It's hard to read, impossible with automatic captions.
I hate to be the elephant in the room, but why does nobody ever mention John getting hooked on heroine? John basically left his first wife to marry his heroine dealer.
Maybe, you need to study up on opioids and addiction.
"Good Night" off the White album was the traditional song my group of friends would play at the end of every trip we did together. Good times so many years ago! I occasionally wonder if I would still find it so magical. LSD and mushrooms can have a very positive effect in the right setting. It did for me at least.
Who is singing Across the Universe here?
I took it once and when I was trying to go to sleep I saw fractures in my room in the walls. Before that it was a wonderful time and I was able to express myself without anxiety. It was so freeing. But those fracturing images made it the first and last time.
Acid is like most drugs very boring
