My grandfather was a sergeant in the Royal Berkshire Regiment in WW2 he got captured by the germans in France, he’d stayed with some wounded soldiers . He spent 3 yrs in a polish camp .He formed a band in the camp The Melody Makers’ the boys looked forward to his concerts!. He died in 1957 at 51 I wasn’t born until 1962. A man I never met but a man i miss. SGT Edward Veal (Ted) 1st Battalion RBR.

The brother of my grandfather was a PoW in England and said the English were strict but fair and polite and actually very kind to them though they were enemies. He always spoke well about the English and had lots of respect for them. Regards from Germany.

My father was a POW in Germany in WW2. This film gives the general rules, but during the heat of combat the rules often don't get followed. Especially towards German SS and the extreme Nazi fanatics, the worst of the worst. There was a great deal of revenge killing after D-Day when the SS murdered many Allied prisoners. Men who had lost their best friends and comrades to the SS beasts were not inclined to follow the rules when they captured them.

i seen a interview with a ww ll vet and he said they had no problem getting the German prinsor's to talk on the front line he said they would line a few up and ask one a question and when he diddent answer they shot him in the head in front of the others then they grab another and guess what he answer avery question they ask no problem That's what he said.

I was in a reserve MP unit for a while. Got taught to get the prisoners away from the attacking infantry as quickly as possible as the infantry had been trying to kill the men who are now prisoners. The infantry were the most likely to kill the prisoners.

I wish this game back, i will never come back to it unless if the playerbase goes up again.
