Hey Dane, how're you fixing those doors?
Просмотров 509Год назад
Hey Dane, how're you fixing those doors?
Yes. My little one (my tansu) the back panel is split also. I was hoping I could glue it back together without taking it apart. As I am worried about damaging it. The base of the bottom drawer panel is cracked, too. I love watching your videos on the care for these pueces of history. ❤
The best way of gluing the panels back together is by removing them, clamping them together with a bit of wood glue in between, and then repegging them onto the back again. Some people will simply add a new strip of wood between the two sections of the cracked board, but this is often imperfect, especially if you don't trim the edges of the boards on the back to be straight, requiring them to be removed anyways. We will try to work on getting some more in depth restoration footage up in the future, but in the meantime, we're glad that you appreciate the content we've been uploading!
@shibui_kotto Oh yes, I love watching the new videos. I have found mine is wonderful for under my desk as it's perfect for books and notebooks. I want to fully restore, but I don't want to damage it in the process, so I've been trying to wash as many as I can, including as many artisan restorations of these as I can. 😍
I made a few for my house. I used a sewing machine, so my zokins are not so aesthetic 😄 But I really like the result.
I like the Jacket would wear it constantly during the warm season's while out.
I wanted one with the Long sleeve's with MT Fugi in a Huge circle on back with Japanese family crests all over. Should of tried to get one in the 70s.
Thank god for this video! Solved within 10seconds with your helpful knowledge 😊
We're glad we could be of help!
