I like Esmeralda. Some of the music isn't so great, but it has good characters, story, and construction. I am always glad to see Petipa choreography; particularly ballets that you see less often. The dancing here, and the grand production, look terrific.

I am mesmerized by his total perfection of masculinity.A powerfully built but proportionate body, great legs ,feet ,arms, breadth of chest , shoulders and torso to legs, and handsome.

ADAMZHAN has a very rich stage presence in sync with the magnificent style this Pas de deux calls for. The variation reminiscent of the great Vladimir VASILIEV version works perfectly for ADAMZHAN with standout dedans pirouettes and a marvelous closing coda with electric power jumps. Congratulations!!! PETIPA APPROVED 🎉!!!

Brilliant performance and Postkishvili is exceptional. But why do a few girls in the audience have to scream like they're at a Chippendales party ? Until a few years ago, you only heard this in competitions, with the contestants being "supported" by the screams of their fans, but now you hear it in theaters too. It's vulgar and disturbing.

I am not at all familiar with tne wonderful number that starts at 2:43 - Is this part of his original score for Don Quixote, or some other ballet?

I've always found it disappointing that this waltz is never used in most versions of Don Quixote, it is definitely one of the little known and rarely heard gems from Minkus's score for Don Quixote (another is the complete, unedited original coda of the famous Don Quixote pas de deux).

Really enjoyed this. Loved the set.
