Wonderful Words Of Life on Dulcimer

In 1874, Philip Bliss (1838-1876) was in high demand as a musician and composer. His primary means of income was in giving concerts and singing at conventions, accompanied by his wife Lucy, through which he could promote and sell his music. At the same time, he had been recruited to lead music part-time for the evangelistic campaigns of Major Daniel Webster Whittle (1840-1901). Over the winter ...

Introducing Flute 153 - The Ultimate Shasta Flutes Promo!
Another beautiful instrument
Very nice both in the quality of the wood and, of course, your craftsmanship.
Hi John. Thanks for your thoughts. Just dropped a new mock up video of 259.
Beautiful!
thanks, much appreciated
Beautiful, rich sound.
It turned out very nice. I love playing it.
Ohhhhh, it sounds wonderful!!
This one has a very nice voice and is a pleasure to play.
I watched both 906 and 907! Beautiful! The sustain is incredible! I tend to think the zero fret has a lot do do with tone and sustain.
zero fret is for the intonation and action at the first fret. these two have very thin soundboards and a new brace system that has given me the sustain I've been looking for.
❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Patti!

Contest 1000. 903 is gorgeous! Love the combination of wood. (Looking forward to my new one on order!) I have a uke with a cedar soundboard and it's one of my favs!
It should be there very soon!
This is beautiful. What is that style of playing called?
Not sure it has a name.
Love the crosses!!
Thanks for your kind words. We love the crosses too. We are currently working on an 8’ cross that will hang over a baptismal. Fun fun fun!
Yay, Indiana wood!
Lovely!
That’s beautiful! Contest 1000

Contest 1000. Really like the VSL of 25”, and the baritone sound it can lend.
Thanks for your comments!
Beautiful version of this song!
Thank you for listening. This is one of my favorite American tunes and I love to play it. It's such an expressive piece.

Oh how beautiful! You don't happen to have a tab for it?? I would be willing to pay for it.
Sorry but I don’t use tabs. I just hum a song a couple of times and then start strumming. One of the advantages of playing an instrument tuned to a chord. 🙂
You are a lucky one who is able to do that .... Thanks for your reply.
Amazes me how sweet an instrument with so few strings can sound!🤗
@@reginarose9139 this is our latest dulcimer #903. I’m very pleased with its tone.
Richard's painting will arrive soon! I wish I could say the same for Dan's dulcimer. Please put in my name for #1000. I would like to see a combination of Port Orford cedar and Myrtle. This one # 903 sounds great especially in the hands of a master!
Ya never know who's going to win this one! I've done several Myrtle and Port Orford Cedar dulcimers. They are beautiful and sound great. It's been hard getting PO Cedar for dulcimer tops recently though.
I am a subscriber and MD player. Would love to win #1000.
@@Bill-y8s thanks for entering!

Thank you. Really enjoyed making your flute!!
Beautiful!
Thanks
Beautiful!
Thank you!
😊😊👍👍Wonderful!
Beautiful! Love the shirt! Nice haircut-you clean up well! I've always been curious as to why the strum hollow exists as it seems that nobody ever actually strums there?
Strum hollow is used by some but not all. Sound gets pretty tinny the closer to the bridge you go.
