I saw the solo Trans tour twice. Best shows I ever saw. Trans with band pales in comparison. Wish there was live footage of the solo tour.

What a night!!! It was for free.

I think this was the tear gas concert...the local cops let off some gas because there was a mini riot going on outside. Neil made a comment at one point during a song where he said "gas, bad idea!" I believe it was a free concert.

Ricordo che l'effetto dei lacrimogeni della polizia per pochi minuti erano arrivati al palco costringendo un'impassibile Neil a suonare col fazzolettone al viso tipo cowboy.

yeah, I know about that issue. But I think, it had also to do with the fact that rock music wasn't as popular in the eighties as it was in the seventies and nineties. Neil wasn't the only musician who radically changed his music style in the eighties afters being successful in the seventies - remember America, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, and many others.

They get that ovation because they ARE good, even when they don't want to : )
