Total Integrated Panel System Demonstration, Las Vegas
Просмотров 36 тыс.3 года назад
Watch as a crew assembles tilt-up panels utilizing the Total Integrated Panel System (TIPS). This revolutionary technology can reduce concrete in tilt-up panels by as much as 50%, rebar by up to 90%, and weight by as much as 50%, without reducing strength. Because it saves materials, labor, and machine costs, it integrates an effective R-value of 38 at the same price as a standard 7.25" panel.

      Thanks for your question. Because the EPS is eventually covered by concrete, structures built with this system will have at least a 2 hour fire rating.

    Also, I didn't hear you mention the size of the starter rebar. is it also #3?

    • @MarcusBlackburn
      @MarcusBlackburn 9 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your questions. The pneumatic connection is faster and stronger than tying wire. This does not change the final strength of the building, but is useful to keep the wall straight during the construction process. The size of the rebar is dependent on the height of the wall and determined by the engineer.

    • @MarcusBlackburn
      @MarcusBlackburn 11 месяцев назад

      Gracias por el comentario. Debido a que este sistema tiene 2 pulgadas de concreto en cada lado, no necesita encontrar un poste en la pared para colocar gabinetes, televisores, cuadros o cualquier otro objeto. Se pueden colocar en cualquier lugar directamente en el concreto y serán más seguros que si se colocan en la madera.

      @MarcusBlackburn 11 месяцев назад

      Gracias por el comentario. En general, no hemos visto ningún problema con la recepción celular y el wifi solo se ha interrumpido si pasamos por varios niveles de construcción con nuestro sistema. En ese caso, es posible que se necesite un refuerzo para garantizar que no se interrumpa el servicio.

    What about the thickness of the wall

    • @MarcusBlackburn
      @MarcusBlackburn 11 месяцев назад

      The thickness is accounted for in the initial design. If a structure was designed with another system in mind, it is necessary to have the engineering redone to look at the need for additional reinforcement and alignment.

By watching all the videos from the company ( in Spanish, which, furthermore helps me learning Spanish 😂), it sounds pretty easy to build it. My main concern, as I am in the countryside and off grid, is to find a team at least to follow the (mine) instructions. I will contact the company soon to ask for referring me to contractors.

    is it shotcrete or gunite? Isn't a 2 inches by 2 inches mesh overkill? Have seen 6 inchs by 6 inchs structural mesh in houses. How do you align the concrete after being poured ? Do you use some plastering rendering machine to cut the concrete? or Bull Marks?

    This was one of the reasons that I was going to build my building out of icf with an 8 inch core. I know that concrete walls are fairly bulletproof, and it is nice to see that holds true even when the skin is so thin on your wall systems.
