2024 Recap: In 2024 I Flew an FPV Drone (aka Year in Review)
NateHarmsFPV inspired me with his video ( ruclips.net/video/L3Hnicgg8CY/видео.html ), so I dug through my footage from the year and created this short edit. It turns out I, unfortunately, didn’t keep most of my footage, and what I did have was rather repetitive. Next year, I’ll do better!

DIY Field Charging Solution for Drone LiPo Batteries (Making a LiFePO4 Battery Pack)
Просмотров 1 тыс.Месяц назад
Without fail, I never seem to have the right number of batteries charged, either not enough or too many. One of the guys I fly with bought an EcoFlow, and it works great; he can fly as long as he wants and never has too many or too few batteries. I looked at an EcoFlow, and it seemed inefficient for my use case since my charger takes 12v. Why convert from a DC battery (in the EcoFlow) to 110v, ...

I have had a number of ENC28J60 and W5100/W5500ethernet modules on my Arduino Nano clones fail over the years. The Nano has a 5V microprocessor, and the ethernet modules are listed as 3.3V IO but are 5V tolerant. I think they are only tolerant for a few years before they die. With my latest component failure, I wanted to mix it up a bit more. Moving over to a 3.3v microcontroller might help, as...

      Depends on what your current pad is made of. If it is metal of some sort, ground it like I did in the video, otherwise, perhaps try a different surface. Lastly, you could just try and remember to touch a grounded metal surface before you touch your mouse, your computer case an example, should be metal and grounded.

    I've got a SPECTER12 ES 2-4S AIO board in my 2" Draknight. Do you think the 1.5A 5V BEC will be enough to power the Walksnail 1S V3 VTX ?

    • @reileymckerracher9181
      @reileymckerracher9181 2 месяца назад

      You would be right on the limit, so I would avoid it. Might work, might work for a flight or two, might die. The WS VTX can use up to 1.2A at 5V by itself, plus whatever the board itself uses. If you are running 2s or 3s, I would power the WS VTX directly off bat. I did a video on the current/consumption of the WS board here: ruclips.net/video/PHJ1U9iK2N4/видео.html

      Try a different usb port maybe? I haven't used mine in 2 or 3 years. I did dig it up my old stick and plugged it in and it flashes red like it should. Another idea, plug it into a USB charger and see if it lights up (mine flashes red). That should help narrow down if the issue is with the stick or with the port/power.

      @@vinpin My GPU has a bunch of coil wine, too. Too bad they don't design them a little better! Thankfully, I don't get it through on my DAC. I'm actually using a spdif optical cable for my DAC now, not the USB isolation, and a separate power supply. no ground hum wtih the optical cable!

    Debating on getting a drone with either 2.4ghz elrs or 915mhz what is the difference in responsiveness? Is it very noticeable for your stick imputs?

      I don't notice, but I'm not a racer, I'm a pretty casual/slow flyer. I'm flying digital so there would be some latency from that as well, but I don't notice that either. There is more selection for the 2.4ghz as it is more common. The 900mhz is still easy to get, lots of options on aliexpress, just not as much as 2.4ghz.

    There are two things that makes your car stop running entirely. Thats the Eccentric Shaft sensor and Mass airflow sensor. The Eccentric Shaft sensor takes a bit of patience and skill to get to and remove, but the Mass airflow sensor can be tricky because when it goes bad the scanner doesn't detect it in the DTC.

    Mine gets the audio chopped when I use a USB C dongle but works just they way I need to with a DSP earphone(Quarks dsp) anyone has ideias in how to fix?

      Just a guess, but try turning down the quality in Windows. I know some of those dongles will run at 32bit, which is probably too much data for the isolator. try at 16bit.
