Definitely Missfits and Erick are criminals guys
It’s creepy to me how somethin’ that’s been lost for nearly 40 years that was only recently found on a ReeL is in good condition.
They want all of her all the time .Geez
This episode is hilarious 😹💖 the holograms were great as the sisters- especially Raya! 😳 her voice made me do a double take lol
lol simba 😹 the animation has that weird “king of the hill” look again…no offense but the 6 episodes of Jem with this animation style remind me of those adult animation shows because of the uncanny animation 😳
3 Different people and they ALL have the SAME VOICE! Everyone in this show is DUMB!!! haha
I wish I could still get 80s acid.
Awesome
I'm surprised pizzaaz isn't locked up yet
This is the most drama I've seen in a cartoon 🤣
You would think the feud was sizzle down after the whole kimber and stormer collab smh
This is such a beautiful episode ✨ it always makes me cry 💖 so sweet. Thank you 🙏❤️
That was a beautiful way to end this show
So attempting to murder a boat full of people is ok with stormer but planting money on Jem is too far?
14:30 go raya 😂
Except, Synergy would know where the earrings were, in order to keep Jerica as Jem. None of this made sense. Especially how Riot wasn't arrested for kidnapping!
Thanks for sharing.😍
1:41 The voice of Optimus Prime, everyone. (No actual shade)
the movie was terrible
me and my best friend loved this!! her mother called it black magic
Jerica and Kimber act a great deal like Adora and Glimmer just saying
I still can't get over how many crimes The Misfits and Eric committed in broad daylight, sometimes with dozens of witnesses, and nothing was ever done to them.
This is one of my favorite episodes!
I love this show! The songs from the show really need to be put out on cd!
3:59 Jetta mentioned Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson.
This episode is hilarious 😹 also 9:20 they’re acting just like Mick and Mimi from those Magic Bullet infomercials back in the day ruclips.net/video/w6KNpmRNyJM/видео.htmlsi=4XpqKcGVpgaTnDe4
She should've taken Rio with her!
This episode really showcased how two-faced Jem/Jerrica was towards Rio, and vice versa. Yikes.
nobody in her hometown knew Roxy was in the Misfits?
haha just saw the continuity error, RIot first met Minx in Germany in a rock band
JEM OR JERRICA RIO LOL. KIMBER TOLD HIM!!! 😅😅😅
Kimber said to Sean "you're holding up my sister's movie career" .... JEM is in the movie, not Jerrica ... 😮
Jem was really forgiving of Riot's past actions.
Then we come to the end. What a great way to end it too with a powerful father -daughter reunion. It occurred to me, the series began with the death of a father and ended with the reunion and rebirth of one. Things really came full circle. Jerrica lost her father and in the end found Riot's and Ba Nee's. You know Ba Nee's interest in Arthurian Legends and Medieval Fantasy could be an acceptance of her half-Irish heritage without her knowing it. I love that Ba Nee was actually the name of a Vietnamese girl that Christy Marx's brother adopted after he returned from Vietnam. The best part, her brother's name was Eric Raymond Marx! So yes in real life, Eric Raymond adopted Ba Nee! I love how everyone puts their egos and animosity aside to work together: The Holograms, The Stingers, Randy, Rio, Riot, Sgt. Llewellyn, even The Misfits to attend her party. They became fire forged friends. Three cheers for Langley! She provided the clue that Martin was his first name leading to them to find Martin O'Carolan. So what have we learned? Never take Ba Nee to a zoo. Doing the right thing makes you a superstar! Umm Martin they give you this exact training to rescue little girls from zoos. What training did they have over in Nam?! The party is wonderful with Ba Nee giving Riot and Pizazz goodbye kisses to the rival bands having fun and singing together, Ba Nee hugging Jem and Jerrica, and Jem waving goodbye to Ba Nee and us. (I still believe Roxy suggested to go to Ba Nee's party as a thank you for giving her the Reader.) It's been a wonderful experience reliving an iconic series that was such a huge influence on mine and many other's childhoods. It inspired my creativity and love of writing. It is a very intellectually driven, visually beautiful, and deeply characterized series. It is not only among my favorite animated series, its one of my favorite series. Period. Thank you, Simon for allowing us to relive it and thank you, Christy, Hasbro and the rest for making it.
One more to go. Fun Fact: This is Townsend Coleman's favorite episode. Is it any of our business why Rory has blond hair and his parents do not? Then again was it any of our business why Kimber, Aja, Shana, Rio, Raya, Pizazz, Clash, and Astral were clearly born with their odd colored hair? 0:55-I always joke that Sgt. Llewellyn is what it would be like if one of the Joe Team went home to his family. I'm pretty sure his voice actor actually was on GI Joe. (Looks up his bio) Oh he was! 2:57-"What's wrong Riot? You haven't said anything rude, arrogant, or condescending all night. We really miss that." In my mind, I am thinking of my fanfic so "Take It or Leave It" and"It's a Hard, Hard Life" also reflect Minx's complicated relationship with her late mother and her mother's "partners" as well as the abuse Rapture got from her Fundamentalist parents and the New Age surrogate family that took her in. Note: Jem has been with Riot all night and he never once hit on her. He must be really worried about his Mom. They say that it's a plot hole that he says that he went to high school with Minx and here met her through Nirvana. But it could just as easily have been both. He did go to high school with her then moved. They drifted apart and then reunited with her when he joined Nirvana. That's how I write it anyway. Of course Minx describes her band as "the superior German band not that pale imitation from America that dares to carry the same name." And yes, I know Kurt's Nirvana was highly influential and he was the voice of his, and my, generation. But I don't know if you know this or not but The Stingers are complete narcissists. No way would Minx think that a group with the same name was better than her own! The Stinger's last song is perfect. "Oh I need to call my sister, Madonna!"
on an old message board, there were jokes that the gals have dyed their hair since they were children.
I love that the series made a tech genius not only a woman but an attractive flirtatious woman. Minx broke various stereotypes. In a way she reminds me of Hedy Lamarr, glamorous Hollywood actress and co-inventor of wireless technology. If you taken into consideration that Minx probably has PTSD from her pre-rock Star days, her behavior is understandable.
this episode still makes me cry.
❤
These cheesy lookalike plots are my favorite.
Four episodes left to go. This is probably the Stingers at their lowest. Regine never did anything to them and was as sweet as she could be and they still treated her horribly. I love that Shana doesn't take a young designer as a threat or feel slighted. She instantly gets big sister-like and becomes a mentor figure to her. Trust the Stingers to make an entrance. 5:40-Because more than anything, you want to impress the Peoria crowd. They are notoriously vicious and judgemental when it comes to assessing talent. That's where fashion and trend setting begins after all. In Peoria.😅😂 I absolutely love The Stinger's New Wave/R&B soulful, sultry, more mature style as compared to the Holograms's girl group pop style and Misfit's punk/metal influence. Is anyone else amused how much Yaki looks like if Edna Mode and Truman Capote's genes spliced? 17:18-I wonder if that was an actual criticism someone said about Riot. Oh Anonymous Critic, wait two more episodes.
Rio is funny. He two timing Jerrica/Jem all the time lol. He'd be mad if he knew? Like really????
I think it's somewhat canon that Rapture doesn't believe in the occult but she is also very knowledgeable about the subject so my thought is that she does believe in it but not within herself and lying and making money became easier than trying to study it. Supposedly Astral and Regine would have reappeared in later episodes. That's why they had such strong intros. Okay, I could argue that Ms. Farnsworth was kind pf rude and arrogant. She didn't deserve it but The Stingers felt insulted. Regine didn't do anything to them! That's their lowest moment. "Believe/Don't Believe" is another great song. Hmm, Minx and Techrat? I'm a sworn Minx/Riot shipper but they both like technology and electronics. That's promising.
This is one of the weirder episodes with the characters breaking the fourth wall and acting out of character. It's very unreasonably bizarre. 1:20-Who's Regine? (I know who she is. The episodes are clearly out of order). "Under My Spell" is another good Stinger's song. Some of their better ones are the slower ones. Did Jem never turn into Jerrica on the island? I guess that's another story which shall be told another time. Also why didn't Synergy tell them where she was? I love this episode as much as the others, but there are plot holes here that you can drive a truck through. 😅😂 4:42-Fun Fact: Accprding to Townsend Coleman, he got such a kick out of Riot stating the obvious "it's a boat" that you can actually hear him laughing at the line. You can definitely hear the "you're kidding. Do I have to say this?" tone of voice in his delivery. "But that's not my sister's handwriting." Seriously, Kimber. I do like how they incorporated how The Misfits would have a larger fuller sound with more diverse singers. Come on, Harvey, you bonded with Kimber! Oh sure you made them all Misfits but you couldn't make Clash one! Since when did The Misfits have standards? 😎 "Who are you talking to?"..."The kids watching at home obviously." Kimber and Rio didn't recognize that it wasn't Jem's handwriting but Minx recognized the tiny signature as Riot's? I think a Mack truck just drove into this episode! 😅😂 I love how it closed The Misfits/Holograms rivalry leading to the truce in the final episode.
FINALLY the Misfits get arrested! They have committed mass murder and got away with it, but performing music on an airplane was the final straw!
Since I love Greek Mythology this is one of my favorite episodes. Also it's a tribute to one of my favorite Shakespeare plays, Midsummer Night's Dream because of the confusing love shapes. "Destiny" is one of my favorite songs in the series. I love how Rapture and Minx sing lead. My head canon is that Rapture wrote it when she rejected her Fundamentalist Christian upbringing and embraced the New Age and a boyfriend who got her into it. 3:21-"Flowers, moonlit walks.,me..." Promises you don't intend to keep? 5:08-Zeus: "Ah yes, Jerrica and Jem. Hsve I pursued them yet? No matter, Eros do your stuff!" Now Christy Marx had the idea that Rio either always knew or found out that Jem and Jerrica were the same person and kept it to himself. Most episodes, I would argue against that interpretation but this one I can see that as a possibility. Especially with Rio saying that Jerrica is the woman he always loved because he recognized that they were the same woman and loved her no matter what form she took. Really I keep going back to this except for Jem being more easy going and Jerrica being more serious, they really aren't that far apart in personality or demeanor. They are the same woman.
My sister's favorite character is Danse so this is her favorite episode. This is a memorable send off for our lovely rainbow haired dancer/choreographer. There are all kinds of unfortunate implications between Viktor and Nadia's relationship. Who would know that within a few years former Yugoslavia would make very unfortunate tragic news? Because of the Bosnian-Serbian conflicts. There are things that don't go together. Ba Nee and zoos. The Stinger Girls and water. Danse and snow either real or fake. Am I going to ask why a balley director has defense plans or is that none of my business? Danse was awesome standing up to Viktor but seriously who would be intimidated by a soft spoken sweet tempered rainbow haired ballerina? It's like being threatened by a toddler or a Chihuahua. Admirable in standing up for onself but doesn't strike fear into the heart.
4:29 this child having an 80's stand up comedian voice kills me
I love how that guy from the 1940’s introduced the group. In those days, those people would have been thinking, “what the heck is a hologram? “….
besides illiteracy this episode proves how free can ruin a good time 😭
I always suspected that this, "Video Wars," and "Homeland, Heartland" were filmed for the second season and thrown into this one. It's kind of weird otherwise to give The Stingers a strong intro and then ignore them for three episodes. Note: This is three years before the Disney Beaury and The Beast but the live action TV show was huge af the time. Also the Beast is practically an animated version of Vincent from the series. So Red Johnny Mack is practically broke but could afford to create this extravanganza with special effects? An electric guitar? Just like the timeless Beauty and the Beast Tale ot Yore. You know it probably wasn't that hard for The Holograms to get into character playing rhe Evil Sisters. Just watch The Misfits. Now in defense of The Misfits, they didn't have time to learn the play and were thrown in at the last moment. Meryl Saint could not have pulled it off.
