You can fetch official data from website of 'Survey of India'. However, there are several other means such as Open Street Map and so on.

You can filter out the data as per the required time period in excel and enter as in the video.

So happy to receive your kind words. Specially multiple map layout is a little bit difficult in QGIS compared to arcGIS. However both software have their own merit.

Thank you for your appreciation. Regarding the problem you've encountered, there are number of reasons for that. It might be due to large DEM size or improper coordinate system. Sometimes the version of HEC-HMS you are using might not support. Please ensure UTM as your reference system. Hopefully it works.

In that case, you need to use the HECGeoRAS extension in arcgis which automatically generates cross section lines. Afterwards, it has to be imported to HEC-RAS environment.
