As a premium member I was invited to the event to meet Mikey Varas at Snapdragon, it was an intimate setting where people got to ask questions, some people made comments that were heart warming, even made Tom Penn go wow. What I like about this leadership team is they are approachable and can come up to them to start a conversation, take pictures and feel like you are part of the team. I went to Tyler’s event as well and again small crowd but able to talk to them one on one.

Jill Ellis biggest strength as a coach was that she was Great with young players, She always knew the right youngsters to bring in and when they were ready. Morgan Brian, Mal, Rose,Lindsey, Crystal, JJ ect. So im sure she wants a coach thats great with the young talent they have. Stoney was not good with young players and actually held them back. Donavan will let the young players like Jayden and Mel barcenas do there thing !!

the defense *was* performing at an elite level this season as it has been since Casey arrived. the roster is lacking and ill fitting in the attacking areas and Stoney didn't build the roster in those areas. couple those facts with the complete lack of available, elite coaching in the womens game right now and this is just straight up foolish. 3-0 to Chicago is just the beginning.

The Wave have a roster issue not a coaching issue! The new players do not mesh with the team at all.

I believe it was a huge mistake for Jill Ellis to fire Casey Stoney. The dismissal reeks of panic and desperation. Is it Stoney's fault that Alex Morgan is on a scoring drought this season? Their opponents are now focusing on stopping Jaedyn Shaw and not paying as much attention to Morgan. Because they were overachievers last year, the expectations for the 2024 Wave were way too high. They are not as talented as the top teams inthe league.
