You boys ought to know that Randy Meisner and the Eagles recorded 'Journey of the Sorcerer" which was the theme for BBC radio and TV "Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy". Just another way this band was part of popular culture. Douglas Adams, who wrote the Hitch Hikers guide is unfortunately no longer with us.

Take it Easy electrified the culture. It was a new sound, and the message simply floored everyone. It's still one of the great memories of that time. Few songs have had that kind of impact IMNSHO.

Tickets for big bands, Floyd, Zeppelin, Queen were $10. I saw SuperTramp for $1.98. Emerson Lake and Palmer for $4.98. I use to have photo album of tickets. We had the music, the performers and could afford to go as often as we wanted.

DNSO has 150,000,000 views on this which shows the sauge being made so to speak (Ennio Moricone piece for a great western movie) - even though there is a large choir there arent really words just Aaahhhs, and Wawww Wawwws, together with electric guitar, piano, brass, strings, percussion, ocharina... It is an amazing performance. You will be amazed I am sure

Awesome and genuine reaction guys! FYI... You might enjoy the Metallica concert in Moscow in the 90s - Over 1 million people hearing Ecstasy of Gold then transitioning into Enter Sandman. Just saying... the helicopter flying over the crowd gives a sense of the enormity of the crowd.

You must react to Bohemian Rhapsody’s LIVE at Montreal 1981. They do the whole song. You will see how they deal with the opera section since the recording only had the 3 voices multi tracked. BTW, in live performances you will notice John Deacon has his backed turned facing Roger on drums. His base playing was always in sync with the drums. The other members always mentioned how perfect John wanted the base and drums playing together.

Gerry real name Gerard Crosbie comes from the Castlemilk area on the Southside of Glasgow . Gerry has never stated publically which team he supports but it's heavily suggested he's a Celtic fan . My favourite song of his is SUN QUEEN .

The band also messed around. A band member (not just Elton) going off script during a concert and the rest of the band following along was part of the show. Another thing, when the band was at it's height (Nigel Olsson, Dee Murray, and Davey Johnstone), they'd be recording so much music that they would slip in songs from the upcoming album during the concert...just to give the fans a treat.

Brian used a Hallfredh guitar on this track. He modified it by adding some fret wire before the bridge saddle which the strings would vibrate against when played. He also removed the original bridge and put a hardwood bridge on. The end result made it sound like a sitar.

Alex was literally pushed into becoming the frontman of the band he didn't want to at first but the others insisted and you could def tell in the early years, he was very shy and quite and then had to start singing infront of ppl lol. He def started truly "performing" in 2011, like all performers he prob always had one but that's when he really started building a stage persona and eventually birthed AM alex which had a lot of polarizing opinions but mostly loved ig. Then came the almost 4years hiatus during which he performed with tlsp for one year and that's a whole other alex lol, now he's a good balance of the early days quietness, AM era confidence and a little bit of tlsp's craziness.

Alex 2016&2018 was coked off his head ESPECIALLY in 2016 during the last shadow puppets. him in those performances was... not stable to say the least lol, but then again people didn't care for how off it he always seemed in his mannerisms cuz musically he delivered and he did seem to eventually get past it. Can't tell if he'll hate those performances even more considering what he got against Alex but you guys should react to his moonage daydream cover with the last shadow puppets, if you guys can get past how high he seems the cover is amazing. The i want you by the beatles cover is also everything.

This is such a sweet tune! Glad you had a change of heart. I always listen to the music and the melody on the first few listens and then the lyrics and it is a nice contrast! Really lovely tune and again, it’s placed just right on the track list. Love hearing about songs that nearly didn’t make the album and I’m so glad this one did!
