Properties not seldom visited, private or closed and some now gone. Dunnington Mansion was visited with permission, Lorton Maximum Security Prison has been converted to condos, Seneca Mill Ruins is open to public, Belmead-on-the-James is private, Cresswood is private but open to the public for tours.

Les Halvorsen Retirement, November 1976

I found this 8mm film in a long, unopened box. Probably from my mom's stuff. I don't remember having seen it before. I was stationed in Iceland and couldn't be there. I probably should have tried harder to make it.

I was scrolling through my Lightroom catalog looking for a particular image. Although I didn't find the one I was looking for, several B&Ws caught my eye.

A quick walkabout through the Italian & Japanese Gardens at Maymont Estate in Richmond, VA. It was a hot day which might be the reason that not too many people were out and about.

I haven't shot macro in years and I didn't want to venture out today so used the flowers on the back porch. And this is my never ending quest on learning video.

The earth and the earth takes back.
The dunnington manison isn't abandoned they are looking for funds to restored because I talked to people who has Fondation for it.
Thanks for looking! You're correct, the Foundation is working hard to restore the property but right now, no one lives there.
If you were going for creepy, you nailed it!
Hmmm a fixer upper
You do a great job Lee ----- you might want to think about expanding your horizons!
Seen mansion before, other video's? Forget this Beauty, Never, Never.. Thank You for update..
Sad 😢 it's in disrepair maybe a new family can restore it to it's former beauty and grace 💖🙏
Beautiful and the music Too, Wonder who that is 🎶 Thanks Lee
Wonderful!
Fantastic video, Lee! I really enjoyed seeing the drone footage and unique perspective above the house.
This is wonderful. Your videography makes it look much more elegant than it actually is at this moment. The surging music certainly pulls one in. You’re on a good new path with video.
I am getting kind of tired of seeing the Confederate Battle flag as some kind of valor reminder. When I visited Gettysburg Battle Ground national park, there were fresh flowers and wreaths hung on all the confederate monuments ---- along with the battle flags. I read some of the notes left and all they could talk about was the "greatness" of these heroes in the "war of aggression" from the North! I have a lawyer friend (from VA) that always refers to the Civil War the same way. Amazing how some sub cultures in the US can not accept defeat that occurred 159 years ago, and not recognize that their side was trying to destroy our country and form of government. Just like some politicians these days and their followers.
Great stuff. I fondly remember my time with the Bird Dogs...summer of 66.
Great memories!!! I knew three of you pretty well. Buns was my neighbor, Terry is back in Huron and I see him with some regularity, and you helped our band. Kup went with a gal from my class --- Patty I think, worked with her at the state theater ---- they went to Canada for a while I think. Was that a "Conrad" (sold at the Music Center) on the right in the picture of 3? We had a base and double pickup 6 string ---- that I still have in states of disrepair. I remember the trailer. THANK YOU for posting. Was down there when my late brother-in-law was inducted, Larry Holloway, from Nickel Bag of Soul.
Thanks for the comment!! Kup married Patty!!! I love the music from those days and the times we all seemed to have together while we were rock and rolling.
Excellent discussion
It was lovely to hear you! Thank you Really appreciate your knowledge on indian art forms.🙏🙏 Namaste from India
When you say Gujari, it's difference among then.
Dear Narrator, it's not pronounced as Gujaari but Goojri.
I think it's very difficult for westerns to understand the ragas, same as Yoga, unless they learn it.
Ragas are not songs. Songs are usually (fully or partially) based on ragas. Please correct your information.
thank youu
Lovely images! Favorites: Man on paddle board + fisherman.

I recognize the first photo with the Joshua tree in the foreground! The broken bench is something I would expect from you because I remember you concentrating on taking a photo of a kitchen chair in the neighbor's yard in 2011! They were all exquisite but....you know me. I'm a colorized girl! What software are you using to put these together? I might want to do that with some of my better hummer pix! Love ya!!
